The corporate media continues to downplay the role of a massive trade deficit in the recession. High unemployment is in large part due to the fact that jobs are being created everywhere except in the U.S.

Meanwhile, we import all of the plastic garbage China can mass produce.

Lets see we send wealth...

1. Middle East for oil.
2. Asia for goods.
3. U.N. for who knows what project.
4. To support US friendly regimes around the world.

Then we wonder why the US is facing so many troubles.

Yet we have the resources to produce our own goods and oil. We just aren't allowed to drill for oil and its cheaper to import products than to make them here in some part due to regulation and other issues. We could ignore world problems and yet history teaches us they always end up coming back to haunt us in the end. So lets focus on energy dependence and bringing jobs back and make that a good start.

Yes, we highly regulate domestic corporations yet give generous incentives for foreign companies to operate here and/or export to us. It's so backwards really.

No chance of deficit getting better any time soon. If Hussein Obama brings it up, the Chinese will remind him that unless he continues to be their slave they will stop buying our debt and funding his Socialism. What do you think he will choose to do??
