How can this be justice?
This man was found guilty. Not by the judge it sounds but by a jury of more than 1 individual.
It sounds like the judge had no faith in the jurys decision. This leaves me with the question of why do we have jurors. The public is brought in not by choice to participate no, but to be involved. I know Burkhalter is 58 but what about a 15 year old that has her hole life to live knowing it is ok to the justice system to touch who you want when you want where you want.
This is a big slap in the face to the family involved the jury and for all those out there that dont have the strength this 15 year old had to stand up for yourself. This young lady has her hole life ahead of her how does this make her feel??????
