Has anyone had Bad service at the Deli Mart in AthensI was

just wondering if you have. There is one guy that has worked there forever, and he is always rude and he even called me a "b***h" and was just awful to me.

Uh, I don't believe that. I go to the deli mart all of the time. For anyone to say that that came out of the deli mart I would have to call you a liar. I've never had a problem with any of them. Your making a statement like that makes me wonder what you would have said or done for them to call you a bitch.

lilly you must be drunk i have been a customer at the deli for 25 years and not once could i have evere been said a bad word at anytime in my life.
even when i have been in there with all our roudy friends they just tell us how foolish we were the night before so if you were called a btch you may have been but i dought the called you one.

they are nice folks,,talk good about the fellow folks if it wasn't for the store we would be hurting...Nice folks and the bench folks too...nice town...

the deli mart is great. never had a problem

The only problems iv,e had at that store is the lack of space were you get gass, it,s really tight. Some times you have to wait for people to move there cars. There is a dude that works in there that really seems to be an a** hole, the guy weres glasses and in his 40s. I don,t go in there any more, don,t really care for the service or his mouth...

i dont like the deli mart personally their is a guy on the bench well 2 of them that try to get girls i know one is jack white he is one old nasty sob u would think jerry wouldnt allow them to set on the bench and try to pick up every girl and the guys in their that work are loud and talk dirty i just dont care for the store anymore...and jack is bad to pick up some married women and the man knows about it they are gone for about 20 min then he comes back to the deli mart and drops her off..its like a pick up place at the store

I'm one of the "bench guys" (the 40-something guy in glasses who's almost always reading), but I don't care for Jack's antics, either. He's going to wind up having that bench removed if he keeps it up. However, if Jerry can't get through to him, who could? Personally,I'd rather the bench be out back, because I often feel ill at ease, like I'm an animal in a zoo. Out back, you'd get some nice scenery.

This Athens Girl loves the ol' guys on the bench. People can bad mouth them if they want, but here are the facts:

1. Those men are perfectly harmless.
2. If you are having car trouble or a hard time pumping the gas, they will help you.
3. That bench has been in use for years, no one has been raped, beaten or assulted by any of the men on the bench.
4. As for Jack White, shit, he is old. If he can get a young one as his age, I say more power to him.
5. They don't sit there and yell vulgar remarks and they are not drunks.

If you don't want men looking at your asses, put some damn pants on. Those men don't bother anyone.

I was there when she was called a B****! So were others that were there. As a fact it all started over the guy..with black hair..and a black beard and glasses..(the one who works there). He was not paying any attention to anyone but a girl in short shorts..and ignoring the ones standing in line. All Lilly said was "Can you please hurry, I have to get my son to football practice". He got mad at her for interrupting his conversation and said shutup B****. Her husband has since talked to the owners, since he is good friends with them and they have taken care of it. So lady you know squat. All this was..was a mom trying to get her kid to practice and the guy was a horny jerk.

Ok....I work at the Deli. I'm the guy with glasses and long hair....I was here the night it happened and that is not what was said. The lady grabbed a gas pump that another customer had pre-paid for and the pump cut off at the appropriate time. She came in and threw a tantrum asking us if we "knew who her family was?" and saying that she would have us fired for cutting her off. We tried to explain that she had grabbed a prepaid pump, but she refused to listen. I'm not the guy in question, but I told the lady that she was being beligerent and asked her to leave. She was not called anything. It was a misunderstanding that was taken out of context and went too far.
