A relative of mine ( girl ) completed the program and it turned her life around. None of the issues raised in the article were present.

Good for her. There are a few good locations, but they are vastly outnumbered by the abusive ones.

noone is going to turn their life around unless they want to... and if they want to, they will use the tools available to do so.. and I DONT MEAN THE METHADONE ClINICS which are a farce...

I think teen challenge is a good place for drug addicts. If you want help you need a place like this to get clean with out drugs with help and gods will you can turn life around. As for the Methadone Clinics thats a joke its just a place to get more drugs to sale on the streets I know it is going on this clinic suppose to check to see if they are taking any other drugs there not.The druggies are dropping dead because there mixing methadone with everything else. Something needs to be done the druggies that go to the clincic are lazy , lay in the bed all day ,stay up all night and rob and bum money to get to beckley to get there drug they will may sure they get over there but there to lazy to get up and go to work every day. Iam so mad at this they have little babys and cant take them and do anything fun with them but oh they can come up with the money ,gas and tolls to get there methadone. All I can say is God almighty will bring them down if they dont stop and turn there life around....

This program is not for everyone. Sorry that it didn't work for your relative. Perhaps he/she wasn't committed to personal change as he/she should have been! So, rather than take personal responsibility for failing, he/she blames the program.

Hi my name is Nathan i was enrolled into the program at athens wv on march 21st when i got there i was a full blown needle junky my life was completly over to me it was consumed by drugs and i was just empty inside but as i started to learn about the lord it started to change me completly when you study the bible and learn what the lord can really do for you its amazing but after being there a little over a month i had to go to court and when i got back they all thought i was high but they wouldnt send me for a drug test so i went the next day and got one done myself and it was clean and my po done one that was clean too i even faxed it to them and asked to please talk to one of them but they wont even return a phone call i just want them to know i love what the program does for people its amazing and im still applying it to my life and hope they find it in their hearts to call me and let me return to the program and prove myself i guess that is what most christian folk would do
