Think Pink-Innocent Victims of Cancer Advertising.

The first two Fridays in October, 2009, the Athens Banner Herald published separate 4 page advertisements for breast cancer victims without identifying them as advertisements and also not published on their website providing for criticism or comments of them. While the author of part of them is identified as one Pamela A. Keene, details of this public relations expert are not provided nor is the fact that she is president of her company called Pamela A. Keene Public Relations, Inc. These articles are opinion without being identified as such. They are one sided propaganda evidently bought and paid for by the two local hospitals and the American Cancer Society.
I sent the following e-mail Saturday Oct. 3, 2009 to Ms. Keene and to Melissa Hanna, Executive Editor of the ABH. To date, no reply to that communication has been received:

Dear Ms. Keene:
Yesterday, October 2, 2009, the Athens Banner Herald stooped to a new low by publishing a piece entitled "Hope for breast cancer patients increases" under your name by "Pamela A. Keene" without disclosing the fact that you are not an objective journalist, but the owner of a public relations firm whose job it is to present only one side of an issue for cheap advertising purposes, and for which you obviously received payment for writing and preparing for public consumption. The article also had advertisements by the American Cancer Society and two local hospitals, Athens Regional Medical Center, Inc the local "public" hospital and the other "private" one St. Mary's. Both hospitals promoted their places where cancer victims should go for treatment. The American Cancer Society ad was promoted as the place for cancer victims to go for help of all kinds without mentioning any of their unethical, improper and possibly illegal activities in the past. In other words, this 4 page article and pictures and comments from cancer survivors, was nothing but a propaganda article seeking to mislead unwitting cancer victims of the success of the failed war on cancer by presenting only one side of the issue and not even identifying it as a paid advertisement from Athens Regional Medical Center, Inc., St. Mary's Health Care System, Inc., The American Cancer Society which proceeds likely went to the Athens Banner Herald owners in Augusta, Georgia and you.
Ms. Keene, if I were to provide you some references to read, that might contradict your misleading glowing claims regarding the present status of breast cancer treatment in your propaganda article, would you even read them or would you instead seek to keep youself ignorant so you can claim ignorance if anyone asks you about this and so you can keep your conscience clear if you have one?
Here are a few Ms. Keene and I would bet you have not read a single one and will not read them now:
"American Cancer Society America's Wealthiest 'Non-Profit' Institution" by Samuel S. Epstein, M.D., International Journal for Health Services, 1999, available at www.preventcancer.com .
"The Truth About Hydrazine Sulfate-Dr. Gold Speaks" by Joseph Gold, M.D. at www.hydrazinesulfate.org . This is basically a criminal indictment of the NIH, NCI and FDA.
"The Cancer Industry" by Ralph W. Moss, Ph.D., Equinox Press, New York, 1996, first published as "The Cancer Syndrome" about 1980. This book, documented with about 500 references, describes among other sordid details, how a "scientist" at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York painted spots on the backs of lab test animals to fool people about cancer research. Dr. Moss was fired as Assistant Director of Public Affairs at this institution in the 1970's for refusing to lie to the public about cancer research.

All cancer patients are encouraged to see the site www.preventcancer.com . Other less dangerous and more effective means than mammograms are available.
For example, mammograms can actually cause cancer from radiation. Also, pressing hard on breasts has been known to possibly spread cancer since 1928. Unwitting women should not just accept these propaganda articles.
All cancer victims must also remember that all approved orthodox cancer treatments are life threatening. No one will be treated without signing a waiver relieving the doctor of all legal liability. Most cancer doctors make upwards of a million dollars a year a these often failed treatments for which they are basically administering medical quackery without any responsibility because the government approved and sanctioned them. In the article today, a cancer survivor is quoted "Be positive, surround yourself with people who care and love you and enjoy each every day..." Remember these people do not love you, all they want is the money from your insurance company and/or your estate if you don't make it. You can't be positive if your are dead from the main effects of these quack treatments. A distinguished professor of medical physics and physiology, and an expert at medical statistics proved decades ago that untreated cancer patients lived up to four times longer than treated ones. The medical orthodoxy lies with false statistics. If you don't make it, they will say to your family, "sorry, we did our best" as they deposit thousands of dollars into their bank accounts for failed "treatment". You must do your homework and not just accept one sided propaganda from this gross medical failure of our time. This is the lowest form of scam journalism. MONEY is at the bottom of all the problems.

On Friday October 30, 2009, the Athens Banner Herald published another propaganda pink supplement on cancer with the name of Pamela A. Keene who operates Pamela A. Keene Public Relations, Inc. on it. Here is a statement from page 1 of this supplement which is not on the website of the ABH and therefore comments to it are not possible there:
"Another common myth is that eating sugar and simple carbohydrates feeds, or accelerates, breast cancer.'While it's true that people with any kind of cancer should follow a healthy diet, sugar has not been shown to exacerbate breast-or any other cancer,' Nemetz says..." Nemetz is Susan Nemetz an oncology nurse at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Here is quotation from the recent book "The Hidden Story of Cancer" by Brian Peskin and Amid Habib, M.D., Pinnacle Press, Houston, 2006-2008, page 245:
"Cancer's Prime Fuel-Carbohydrates"

"You may be shocked to know that the prime 'food' of a cancer cell is glucose-thats right, sugar. Diet-wise, dietary carbohydrate is broken down by your body to glucose. Your body does not break down dietary fat or protein to glucose. The popular publications rarely tell you that a cancer cell can't live on either fats or proteins, like normal cells can.
Therefore once cancer has begun to develop even a little, carbohydrate consumption can only worsen the cancer because it provides the sugar the cancer cells need to live on. Any cancer patient should adhere to a high-protein, low carbohydrate diet.
The fact that cancer cells idolize sugar is well-known. It was reported in 'The Insulin Connection', by
Brenda Goodman in U.S. News and World Report, September 5, 2005, pages 60-62 that:
'...Cancer cells have six to ten times the number of insulin receptors...So, if extra hormone hits a pre-existing cancer cell, it makes a bad thing much worse.
'For cancer, insulin is like pouring gasoline on a fire,' says Pamela Goodwin, director of the Marvelle Koffler Breast Cancer Center at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto.'"
The above statement by Pamela A. Keene is absolutely, patently, 100% false and wrong and seeks to fool unwitting cancer patients.
I wonder how much money Ms. Keene was paid for signing her name to this patently false statement to mislead unwitting cancer patients?
Otto Warburg, M.D., Ph. D., the genius in Germany, was the first scientist to prove that all cancers metabolize via anerobic glycolysis or sugar in the absence of oxygen. This is an experimental fact, not speculation. It is unconscionable that the ignorant editors of the Athens Banner Herald would publish such a patently false statement to mislead unwitting cancer patients. Shame, shame, shame on them and Ms. Keene and Ms. Nemetz.

On October 23, 2009, the public relations propagandist one Pamela A. Keene of Pamela A. Keene Public Relations Inc. produced another 4 page pink paper paid for by the American Cancer Society, and two local hospitals, Athens Regional Medical Center, Inc. and St. Mary's hospital and likely some unnamed phantom supporters too.
This particular one focuses on the cost of cancer and contains some redeeming information compared to the other misleading articles.
Ms. Keene gives an example of a breast cancer victim who, even with insurance, ended up deep in debt although precise amounts of money are not mentioned, except for co payments for doctor's visits of $ 30.00 and a $ 1,500 deductible for insurance. While it may help to have friends to commiserate with, few of them will pony up the many thousands of dollars to help. Doctors also will not provide free treatment; no one gets in the door without money paid in advance. She quotes
an employee of the American Cancer Society which she touts for help: "'The reality is that it's possible that a cancer patient may lose her home', Powell says.'I wish I had a good answer. A person with good savings can go through their money pretty quickly.'" In other words, even the touted ACS, is not going to pony up the many thousands of dollars required for "treatment", mistreatment might be a more appropriate description.
Then she mentions a foundation for help but then notes that it only provides up to $ 500 per patient. This is trivial for a cancer patient. The total costs for my wife's experience ran up to $ 300,000! So, if you get cancer, be prepared to bankrupt yourself. And while you can go to the emergency room and see a doctor one time, don't expect them to pay for continuing cancer treatment for you or anyone else. Even the local cities and hospitals draw the line with cancer, the costs are so high.
With cancer money runs the show and this is the bottom line of why the entire subject is a corrupt cesspool. Everybody involved is making so much money there is no reason to stop it with prevention. For every "survivor" shown by a picture and propaganda words by Mr. Keene, there may be hundreds or thousands of others in cemeteries. Many of them were even killed, not from the cancer but the treatments. All orthodox approved cancer treatments in the U.S. are life threatening. Fortunately for all the doctors and "caregivers" involved, the only reason they are not charged with accessories to murder is because it is so difficult to prove and no independent pathology laboratory is performing autopsies on dead cancer victims to prove how and why they died, from the cancer, from a hole in their colon from the chemo"therapy", from radiation poisoning, from contamination or incompetent surgery, or you might even get cancer from a mammogram, etc. This is why cheap propaganda like these article are so misleading and insidious. They fail to mention any of this, not to mention the fraud in medical research itself and fraud in the approval or denial of drugs to treat cancer or the total dismal failure of the criminals at the FDA to approve numerous known vitamins and minerals to prevent cancer, like Vitamin C which has been proved to kill cancer cells at high doses since 1969 or the mineral Selenium for which there is a literal mountain of evidence that it protects against cancer just like Iodine protects atainst goitre. Everyone should observe that despite the propagana about the "caring" medical "profession", no one receives continuing cancer treatment, let alone competent cancer treatment, for free. Money must be paid and in most cases must be paid before the door to the treatment room, will be opened, and despite the fact that most of the treatment is little more than medical quackery at its best. If you have cancer, and no insurance, be prepared to bankrupt yourself unless you have large financial resources. Money is at the bottom of the cancer treatment nightmare problem. We have enough information now, today, 2009, to prevent most cancer. Over a hundred billion dollars has been squandered by the cancer generals and they cannot even tell you scientifically what cancer is, let alone how to treat and prevent the disease. They must be fired and prosecuted for scientific misconduct, fraud, medical quackery and crimes against humanity.
