New Oregon A.G. dead set against LNG ports

John Kroger, Oregon's new attorney general, took a hard line against proposed liquefied natural gas terminals and pipelines Tuesday, saying they are bad for landowners, the environment and energy independence.

Mr. Kroger speaks from ignorance. He is supposed to uphold the laws of our state, not decide which infrastructure projects are best for us.

Oregon already has two LNG plants; in Linton and in Newport. There has never been a serious problem related to the operation of these plants. Natural gas prices on Oregon are higher than nationally, because of supply issues. Keeping these LNG plants from Oregon will hurt the economy.
