The Americus is the last major redevelopment opportunity in Allentown's central business district.

>>>This is not a valid statement for a reporter for Morning Call to be making. There are numerous building, lots, that could be redeveloped or bulldozed and new developments from Front to 12 and from Union to Tilghman.

It is far from the only area that needs redevelopment attention. Former Mack Truck holding lots. More attention to 19th to 17th, Liberty to Tilghman sub-market.

The list is endless in Allentown. Quit hunting the White Elephant and focus on some of the small projects that are actually achievable.

The Powers That Be prefer to hunt the elusive Big Score. They have completely forgotten that Allentown began as small business lots in the hundreds. Those small business opportunities are no longer available to ANYONE because the City Administrations for the past 50 years have been aggregating and controlling properties into fewer and fewer parcels. That they have done so at the same time that they have completely forgotten the trolley system that once propelled Allentown's growth is not an oversight. That's their desire: build parking lots under Parking Authority Control and to squeeze out of center city everything but government and welfare tenants. Neither want or desire a decent trolley system. And since control of the buses is held by Lanta who can and do destroy business opportunities in a blink of an eye -- "Hey guys, let's re-route everything again" -- there's not much hope that they'll ever get it right again. There's more money for them in catering to the Hud money machine anyway.

The Mack Truck holding lots are not in the central business district.

Please google "central business district" and learn more about what that term means. Then you will realize how intelligent your comment looks!

Geography Moron,

It is far from the only area that needs redevelopment attention. Former Mack Truck holding lots. More attention to 19th to 17th, Liberty to Tilghman sub-market.

>>>As you can see, I state that the CBD is "far from the "only" are that needs redevelopment attention. Please progress past 3rd grade and develop reading comprehension ability.

As an acqusitions executive in private equity, I have acquired more than $1 billion worth of property since 2003 for private equity real estate funds. I know what a CBD is.

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Capricorn

The Moon enters your fourth house of home and family today, urging you to spend more time with your loved ones. There may be trouble brewing at home, so head it off at the pass before tomorrow, when conditions are right for a blowout. Take the time to really listen to what the people you live with are saying. If you live by yourself, you might want to water your plants and talk to them for a while; they miss you.
