Richey Candidate for Moultrie County State's Attorney

Really? Well the regime you have now in Moutltrie county is corrupt. I hope that whole office gets replaced.

Richey, 31, said he was approached by Moultrie County Republicans about running for the position.

"I think that from some of the data (I've seen), the number of case filings (in Moultrie County) seems to be a little low.... I want to make sure that cases are actually getting filed and prosecuted," he said.

Richey wants to turn Moultrie county into a Coles county.

1.Lots of revenue, with no benefit for the taxpaying community. Because if there were a tax benefit for the public off the revenues generated at the Coles County Courthouse, we should all be getting a dividend check.

2. Job creation, more jail staff,more courthouse staff, more police, drug and mental health counselors, a huge probation staff w/vehicles, etc.. To the point that everyone is harassed entering courthouse to pay their taxes by metal detectors and overpaid security guards at taxpayers expense. To the point that everyone is harassed by police just for driving to the grocery store after 9pm.

Richey was a very active person at the Coles County States Attorneys office. Where they like to overcharge misdemeanor crimes as felonies to profit from the extra bond requirements! Where justice is always on a sliding scale! Where secured and sealed files(that are usually public record)are a common thing! Where someone can strike a deal after 5 felony convictions and still receive probation.

There is a reason for the cops at the coles county courthouse. Mafioso style protection. Did Richey ask for furloughs for convicted felons?

I saw him produce a "star" witness for the state on the eve of jury trial. Thank God the jury saw through this attempted deception! Very UNETHICAL and dishonest. He should rot in prison himself.

Dishonest, sneaky, unconstituional, unethical, lacks morals, and is not the person we need in that type of position. He is basically a piece of shit that approves of the police state our country is in. No holds barred, he will get a conviction. Even if it means hiding/manipulating evidence, producing false witnesses, committing perjury himself, coercion of police testimony, etc.

If Moultrie county wants convictions instead of Justice, Richey is your man!

Maybe he should be campaigning in Christian County?
