Yes we all turn the news on when bad weather is near, but what about the kids in the parks, or in a neighbors yard, or the ones who cant afford tv's. the homeless ina box or dumpster. pay the tax and save a life one day it may be your own.

Yes, there are so many who can't afford TVs these days. And I see those people living in boxes and dumpsters all over as I drive around Delaware County. Judging by the taxes that are approved these days the number of village idiots must have increased greatly.

Not this year. There's also a property tax levy in the Big Walnut School District, probable library levy in Sunbury. Everyone, it seems, is crying for higher property taxes to support their cause. The BWSD just passed a levy last fall to build two new schools and they told us that they wouldn't be back for any operating money until the fall of 2011 at the earliest. Guess what? They're back!! After our recent income tax increase, compliments of the residents of Columbus, we do not have more to give.

It would be cheaper to buy every household a weather radio than to install and maintain these sirens. We've done without them this long. Why now when no one has any money?

Ms. Wisneski is a fool. How can you watch the news if power has been taken out by the weather?

I have a weather radio and police scanner, all with batteries just in case to hear the goings on in the area.

It's not a large increase but I beleive a complete waste of $. This (not having siren warnings)has never been a problem before and probably won't ever be. There are a number of other ways that this is communicated and people need to use a little common sense. We can't protect everyone and tornado's are not a common thing in Delaware County.

Obviously you are a new to Delaware. We lived through the Palm Sunday Outbreak of 1965. We had families devastated by loss of life and home. Why take a chance you cheapskate.

I'm voting no.

When the weather gets bad, look at the sky. That's pretty tough to do.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Sagittarius

There's work to be done. Even though it might seem overwhelming, there's a lot to be gained from doing Level One, or routine physical tasks. When your body is preoccupied and very little mental input is required, your mind is free to roam. Do one thing at a time, and you're assured of complete success in all your projects and undertakings today. Your health is not as good as it could be, at the moment. Consider a cleansing diet.
