Murder is so commonplace in Allentown that it's no longer front page news, just a tiny blurb on the inside pages.

What are you talking about? So in other words, unless you have enough money to live in a single home, many of which are only found on the west end of Allentown, you live in a dangerous place?? I have lived in a row home all my life in Allentown and never considered it a "dangerous" place!

Since Allentown is onlygettign worse why are they not looking to the bigger cities for help to educate and try to gain some control. Things are just out of control. What the hell is happening to the LV?

Viva la Allentown!
I really wish Billy Joel would update his song to include shootings, crack ladies of the evening, and incompetant city government!

Not really. This is only the 4th or 5th homicide in Allentown so far this year. Not to bad consider we had 21 in all of 2005 and 16 in 2006.

There are still some decent people living in allentown. Too bad you only hear about the bad ones in the paper. Those who follow the law dont make the paper.

There is nothing but trash moving in to that block near chew street. there have been several incidents this past year, stabbings, muggings, murder. too bad, i'm sure the people who have always lived there are nice people, just being held hostige by the criminal element moving in.
Mayor Special Ed Pawlowski lives about 2 blocks from today's murder.

ummmm well the problem is that our mayor is too be trying to impress people with shiney new buildings than to give two craps about people living in Allentown...honestly I personally never felt threatened living here...I have family up in Bronx and Brooklyn New York so to me this is like "oh wow that's sad"...but in order to do anything the mayor needs to climb down off his soap box and say "hey look we need to clean the city up"...he spent more on remodeling his office than on cleaning up the crime

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Aries

One of the family needs plenty of love and attention today, but the trouble is that you may not be able to spare the time. If so, you'll be consumed with guilt and self-reproach, and this may become so strong that it casts a blight over the day. So do what you can to let them know you're thinking about them, but resist the temptation to berate yourself over things you can't change.
