I'll reserve comment on the driver here until the facts come out. Any bridge or underpass becomes deadly treacherous during snowstorms (wind, black ice, premature freezing), and should obviously be navigated with extreme care in such circumstances. Yea, I get frustrated as the rest of you with the growing inattention of drivers due to their preoccupation with gadgets (my pet peeve: at intersections when lights turn green & the driver in front is yakking or texting). Most of us (Beale included) are guilty to some degree, even changing a CD or a radio station. It is a profound personal and emotional tragedy when circumstances take the life of a passenger when we're at the wheel. My sympathies and prayers for the family and friends of young Daniel Locke. Regardless the type or degree of guilt, I cannot begin to imagine the effect this would have on a driver. Drive safely out there this weekend, friends.

It's amazing how uncaring and unsympathetic people are. Danny is a member of my family. Put yourself in our place.... and please reserve the comments. Keep Jamie in your prayers.

I would like to offer my condolences to the family of Mr. Locke, as well. Also, my prayers are with those injured in the accident, Jamie French, Thomas Fee, his wife Amy, Matthew Fee and Peggy Calvert.

I think it's pretty messed up what "morons" has said. Danny, was a good hearted person. And the nicest boy you would have ever met. He made a big impact in everybody's life he knew. You wouldn't be saying "probably gabbing on the phone at the same time" if you knew him. You should show a little sympathy for the families and friends that are grieving. I loved Danny like he was my own brother. And he wont ever be forgotten. I'm an truly sorry to the Locke's.

Obviously "Moron" has never lost someone that he/she cared about. Sooner or later everyone loses someone they care about. Maybe you could put yourself in the family's shoes and realize how cruel and uncaring your comment is. To the family: My prayers are with you.

I agree with tmc. danny was one of my good friends in high school. He was one of the nicest people ever. And he was there for everyone. For goodness sake the roads were bad. There was probably ice or something. The same thing almost happend to me a few weeks ago when i hit a patch of black ice. I dont think anyone should come on here talking about how they were probably on their phone or doing something else. What if that was your own child. Then what would you think. The fact is that Danny was only 20 years old with an entire life ahead of him. Im going to miss you Danny. I was just thinking a few days ago how I wish I could some how get everyone from school together just to chill one night. RIP Danny Boy.

I am sorry you loss your family member and freind. But I only read on comment-Moron-that was mean. All of the rest are someone saying there sorry. Why are you saying that everyone is negative or uncaring? Why do his freinds want to talk about him here? I didnt know him so I cant care. Should I. I said I am sorry. I didnt say anything bad. No one else did ether. Exept Moron.
