Maybe it's a good idea to sell federal lands in MO. After all, we here in MO. have ignored the sweetheart deals that go on in the conservation dept. land all the time. Why was Larry Dablemont removed as the writer of "The Outdoorsman" column in our local papers after criticizing the MO. Dept. of Conservation land selling practices once too often?

LAND DOES NOT BELONG TO ANY HUMAN ON THIS EARTH, PERIOD!!!! Humans are just sad, pathetic little creatures in the big ball of life.
Please stay as far away from me as possible, I damn sure don't want to catch your disease. While your at it, understand this don't come on my land that I worked for and tell me I don't own it. That would be a damn good way for you to get hurt.
I actually agree with both of you. Although I'm working hard to pay my mortgage on my home and property, if I don't pay it I'll see who owns it! Even after I'm finished paying for it (in 30 years!) the land can STILL be taken from me by the government using devices such as Eminent Domain. Also, if the Mississippi rises it can claim my land if it wants and Mother Nature wins. So then I ask - who really owns the land?

Woo Hoo ! Smart man or boy. You are correct, money is seemingly really the root of all evil.

Isn't national forest federal?? Why don't Bush step in and say NO! Maybe he's to busy looking for WMDs. LOL
He tried that in NC, but one of our senators who seems to be fighting (He is new) for the preservation of our National Forests hopefully got that stopped. Yes, Bush can do this..and he will if given the chance. He has to get $$$ from somewhere inconspicious to help the funding of this war and to help off-set the illegal invasion.(Good thing ya'll don't have oil!!)

<quoted text> Its a shame your so stupid,Whats the president got to do with what the state of Missouri does?
Because it was the President's idea in the first place. Missouri is not the only state that is in risk of loosing some of their National Forests. Maybe you should learn your facts before you claim other people are being stupid. You're just making yourself look stupid.

I believe that the Japanese own most of our national forrests now. I know that they own Bamff up in Canada, too. Can anyone confirm this. It may be our only product left to export.
if they owned it, it wouldn't be called a national forrest because it would be private property. if public land is offered for sale, it is sold to the highest bidder, so we all have the chance to own it if we desire.

Still, that land belongs to the people. If the county can't make it on their present revenues, then maybe they should just become part of another county.
If you have not noticed, "we the people" don't own much anymore the GOV. owns most of it.

I have lived my WHOLE life in this great state of Missouri, I truly love the natural wonders that surround myself as well as my child!! I am very pro green, my daughter grew up climbing our wonderful and precious trees!! The Mark Twain National Forest is not to far from our home, it would be a shame to go by there and see empty roadside!! It is also right before you get to a State Park!! I will end with the same statement Dana did, you poor, poor REPUBLICANS!!

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Pisces

You should have a lucky break today when fate steps in and takes a hand. For instance, a situation may seem to be heading for disaster when you're suddenly bailed out in ways you would never have imagined. However, this doesn't mean you can take foolish risks in the hope that things will work out all right because there's no guaranteeing that they'll do so automatically.
