Boston Scientific settles some suits from Guidant buy

it's amazing to me to realize the government will get 296 for 2 MISDEMEANORS but the plaintiffs only get 240.

When are they sending out the final payments if everything is finalized? Does anyone have any new information?

We are all looking for the same thing (or most of us) there is no date yet for the final release.
My case is finalize but we are still waiting for the final payment, as I understood until the judge is sure that all the cases are settle (Medicare/Medicaid/Private Insurance etc...) monies will not be released.
We are keep in suspense as to when we will get the final payment. Nobody seems to know for sure.

i recieved 2nd payment sept,att also sent me letter
telling how much money i will get for final payment
but does not know when.

What's up? is very quiet. No news is good news???? I will like to see this over and done for once.

I think Judge Frank is a joke.He could care less about the people he is supposely representing.This suit should have been over years ago.He just putting it off and off so he can show he has the power to do it.Nobody with any morals would do to people what he has done.We are nothing to him,but little irritating bugs.Fed up!!!!@!!!!

Judge Frank doesn't represent us.

He isn't the one holding up the final disbursement. You can thank the defendant for that since they are the ones who put in all the stipulations.

Your real complaint, IMO, should be against the supposed "Plaintiffs' Steering Committee" ... those are the folks who didn't do right by us.

In Texas You are 100% correct. The lawyers "representing" the plaintiffs were a joke. All they cared about were the millions in attorney fees.

Ted: Hope your case is going well? Haven't been on here lately and following the comments. We are all waiting for the 3rd and final payoff.

Mark: Nothing is moving. In these types of cases where the claimants are generally older and infirm, the wealthy corporations and their wealthy insurance companies and their wealthy lawyers just stall and delay as much as they can so that each month some more injured people die off so they have less to pay. We are in a system that favors the rich and the powerful, but these crooks keep yelling "tort reform"
so that injured and wounded people would get nothing. This way there will be more money left to give million dollar bonuses to highly paid executives. What a country. Little people are just trash to be discarded.

I have to agree with you, a good example is the Banking ( Credit Cards), Insurance and the Mortgage Industrys, they are getting Gov't bailouts of Billions. But jacking up interest rates, hurting peoples credit scores, causing folks home foreclosures. Plus hurting town services(bus's, trains, schools, etc.) with bumps in interest rates due to falling credit worthiness of either the towns or their Bond guarentee company. This is occurring from the same companys that sold the towns the deritives in the first place.

we have not gotten anything yet but our atty finally told us we are supposed to get 60% by the end of the month and doesnt know when the rest will be released, i only hope this is true and not just a smoke screen.

Talked with my lawyer. They don't know when final will be released said to check back in December.

I recieved my second check in September. Just waiting on the final so this thing can be over with.

I received 75% of my settlement last Feb 2009. I called my attorneys last week to check and see what was new. I have not heard a word from these people since last feb. The person on the other end of line said that my total settlement was being reduced by 2000.00 bucks because of not getting 8100 people to accept this settlement. I thought this was decided months ago. I dont remember seeing anything in the judges orders about it getting reduced. Hows anyone else heard of this?
