Trying to solve a mystery

Does anyone recall the story of a murder that took place at one of the big houses on Lexington Avenue. It allegedly involved the wife or sister of a Doctor "Mobley?" being murdered by the family gardener. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

thething i remember is an elderly woman being raped and sadistily murdered by a young man!i think every now and then of that case and wonder if the criminal is still in jail!the news paper should do some updates on these cases!

I recall two elder assaults. An elderly woman that lived at the corner of 25th and Central ave. that was raped and beaten by a then juvenile. He has long since been released, but as he was underage, I won't refer to him by name as I might get sued or raped. I think the one you mention occurred off of Prospect Ave. but she was not murdered, she was stabbed in the head or neck with a pencil, but I do believe she survived. The guy that did it was named Blair I think.

none of the above.it was a house on lexington about 15 or 16 hundred block on the hill side .i remember she was murdered by a young semi retarded man.but i could be wrong its been so many years ago! like i said the news paper should do a where are we now.and lest we forget the elderly lady viciously attacked on thomas street by a 13 or 14 year old!

There was a lady murdered in a three story house on Lexington Ave, near Prospect. Her last name was White. She also had a brother shoot himself in the attic and a sister hang herself in the basement (or maybe vice versa), either way, two suicides and a murder in that house. Oddly enough, it doesn't stay occupied long.

I believe the murders hand print was on her sheets in her blood but he was not given the death penalty. I do believe it was tried as a death penalty case.
