Unexplained happenings in Debord Hill?

Obviously, the Tooth Fairy isn't real, but why is that one discarded? Why are ghosts not discarded? Why do we all agree that Santa Claus is just a story, but then we can't all agree that evil spirits tormenting us for fun is also just a fairy tale?
