Column: David Edwards, another lottery loser

Edwards is another lottery hard-luck story and a hard-time losing man.

Edwards was an flipping *idiot*.

Edwards is an addict who got rich.Unless you live local you may never even have heard his name. My prayers are with him. I hope he gets things right with the big guy upstairs before he passes. I've heard he is very ill.

You don't have to live local to know someone lady. Edwards was a conman who came into a lot of money to fast. He was into drugs and criminal activities. I don't feel sorry for the man. There are a lot of good people out there that could use the money that he won and wouldn't have blown it like this jackass did.

Calm down, I feel sorry for any one who is an addict. But for the grace of God there go I. I read that most addicts are self medicating, and that the majority suffer from anxiety , depression,and other illnesses.
There are lot of good people that could use that money ,true, but we really never know what would become of us until we are put in a situation.

I knew this guy would blow it from the start..................he is an idiot......didn't matter if it was 2 billion, he would have blown it......what a moron...

David got lost in all that cash. He didn't care about his daughter or his home town. He's addicted to Oxycotin as is his wife, Shawna.
He forced his mother-in-law to sell the house he bought her because Shawna remained on the title.
He's bed-ridden, and he can't walk. He lives his days in the basement in a hospital bed telling me how he loves the Lord. In the next breath it's "f" this and "f" that.
He sleeps with a loaded pistol under his pillow.
He needs our prayers.
He's a pathetic ghost of what he COULD have been.

I saw this guy outside T's lounge in west palm hittin a crack pipe on the side of the building. the drug dealers and strippers took him of his money i know.

I just don't understand! I used to be one of his close friends in Ky. Knew his mom and dad well.

Hey guys i met him a couple of times i know he did alot of bad but my uncle and him went to school together at fairview and stayed in contact for years when my uncle died he helped pay for his funural cost . so i cant really say anything bad about the man .

I know all of you out there are all good church going upstanding citizens, and I am sure that had you hit the lottery and won all of that money you would have given it all to charity, helped feed a small third world country, saved the rain forest, brought about world peace, helped bring the US out of recession and finally shut Sally Struthers up about the starving children. But you didn't...David did. He did what he wanted to do, and none of you could tell me that you wouldn't do the same. So wipe the shit off your noses and shut up...

They could have at least paid their child support before they went completely broke.

I never knew or met David Edwards but I did see him on a T.L.C show called lottery winners and he just came across as a total DICK. He was cocky & bragged about how much curtain items cost in his house, he was tanned had designer clothes on and he just acted like he had all the $ in the world when he only had 20 mill 2 play with after taxes. Even before the other show came out called Curse of The Lottery I knew that loser was gonna blow it all cause he just looked like that type of guy. I dont feel sorry 4 him cause when he was living the good life he presented himself like his shit didnt stink. David Edwards u r a fool and god does not like ugly and u did this 2 ur self u piece of shit

I knew david's first wife Gail. She is doing alright for herself after he gave her $$$. Yes he did this to himself. Karma get us sooner or later. but GOD bless him anyway.
