I have never used this forum before so I am not sure I posted in the correct topic! Duh!! I was looking to post in the topic of "birds falling"!
This topic is under reconstruction, due to a group of hijackers turning it into a gossip topic for themselves. A few of us are working hard to get it back on the bird falling topic. Feel free to post. Thank you for your patience.

for anyone interested in something besides childish nonsense and the rest may ignore:

The Buchanan Administration (prior to A. Lincoln) supported Nationalized pro-slavery and even reinstituted the African Slave trade previously abolished in 1808.(After 1808, it was only legal to trade in slaves in certain locales and for slaves that were already here).

The Supreme Court even ruled that free peoples of color that were decendants of slaves had no rights and that "all men were created equal" did not apply because people of color were not men, but property and the Fugitive-Slave act essentially compelled every citizen to be a slave hunter and it was even a felony to give a run-away a drink of water.

Dr. James H. Thornwell, President of the Presbyterian Thelogical Seminary in Columbia S.C.(where the first secession was implemented) even stated that the African slave-trade was the will of God and was the most worthy of all missionary work.

This fueled the Civil War which snowballed into Kansas because average citizens that had no strong feelings one way or the other, joined the ranks of the Abolitionists simply because they did not want to be criminals for performing an act of human compassion or support this false "missionary" work. Abraham Lincoln was elected.

Makes me tend to want to compare then and now. Will it soon be illegal to give a Mid-Eastener or an illegal alien a drink of water? Or should we become misguided missionarys since the general pulse seems to be that Freedom of Religion is dead and all peoples of Islamic faith are proponents of evil and need to be converted ? Is it more acceptable to be an enslaved Christian than to be a Free Heathern? Good Day.

Saw a poster on Facebook today that I thought was kind of funny.

"If Pit Bulls are outlawed,
Then only outlaws will have Pit Bulls."

But... isn't it that was already? For the most part? Don't criminals stock up on Pit Bulls to guard their Lairs?
