This firing was long over due, however it makes no since to keep the atheletic director who keeps hiring terrible coaches and scheduling debacles .The football program funds serveral atheletic programs and the mistakes are critical. No coach will be able to survive under the present circumstances of a offf campus stadium and a HBCU in the Ohio valley Confercence.

i play football for the tigers and i am shocked and saddened at what i am hearing. Everyone knew this would happen especially after the embarrassing Homecoming loss. Now the other coaches might not kno if they have a job or not. i wish he would have told us instead of us finding out thru the news. We were closer than that. He treated us like men and he was like another father. Imma miss Coach as the tears fall to the keyboard.

It is very sad for the youngmen preparing for the upcoming games to realize that the coach will no longer be available for support in the future. We have a great group of youngmen playing for our university to accomplish wins for themselves as well as the school. Youngmen continue to prepare for the upcoming games with a lot of school spirit.

Change is never easy but many times is necessary. This too shall pass. I pray that the new staff is equipped to deal with the uniqueness of TSU.

We deserve to be all inclusive. We find losing hard to accept especially when we are, as alumni, not included in the program.

TSU has too much history and tradition to fall in the hands of those that are unaware of that. Winning is not optional, it's habitual. Our history shows we know how to win.

Too many good football minds have come through our program to have to look at rejects from other University invironments. This staff was a mistake from day one. If we find fault I would point to past President Hefner.

He is a great person, but was not able to get the job done as far as wins. Everyone that played for him should be a better person just for knowing him. Best wishes to Coach Webster and his family. I know I am a better person for getting to know him.

One of the drawing points to the players is the Titans stadium. No school in their class has anything like this to offer.

No school in our class has the rich history and tradition of playing in the hole which is sacred ground. Add about 30,000 seats, and play on campus is more appealing. Let Titan field host the playoffs and 1-AA Championship game. If I was a recruit at the Murry State game at LP Field I would not be impressed playing on the field with no crowd. We could have played at Hadley Park and had room!!!

The Tennessean is reporting something different - that his has not been fired and that his performance is being "evaluated". What's the truth?

Make sure he takes the Atheletic Director with him when he goes. Maybe then we can get a coach and a new AD and maybe we can get a stadium on campus.

Webster had some good years with Heffner at QB. But, he still couldn't get a consistent effort from the team. This job is not easy but when Webster's team this year came out and lacked competitiveness and spirit it was time for a change at the top. Maybe it's time to look at a new athletic director too. pick a quality replacement!!
