I do not agree with this at all....Every area in Chicago that is 80% Hispanic or higher are all currently very bad areas via violent crime. These people are legal U.S citizens and the illegals are a very small % of the total residents. These residents do not work with police now or report anyhing, so if we legalize the small % of illegals in these areas this will change? No way.
Also gangs do not form in underground societys at all, in Chicago, they formed in prison. Gangs operate in the open and are by no means "underground". As far what gangs did 100's of years ago, well, this is 2008 and we have become civilized people since the creation of this country, we should stop progress to adapt to the hispanic gangs of today? No way, they need to adapt to civilized people.

If you read the entire blog my point is for immigrants to come here legally and follow the process to become productive citizens instead of having a child that enables them to stay for "humanitarian" reasons.
The reference to the other races of immigrants was to illustrate how the gangs form and prey on their own people that are less likely to come forward and file complaints against them.
I agree it would be ideal for them to adapt to civilized people but it isn't going to happen.
Here in Maryland and Northern Virginia the MS-13 gang is making their presence well known.
There preferred method of murder is the machete.
A lot of them are illegals from El Salvador and Guatemala.
Glad to here Chicago has become civilized though.
