Sorry, but my notion of "downtown" is a pretty small section of the city -- and Patton runs way outside of that boundary. People need to have some notion of street smarts.

What the hell were they doing there at 2:30 AM on Sunday?

The bars had just let out and the site of the assault was just about a hundred feet or less west of Pritchard Park. That's downtown.

I thought that there were a number more posts to this thread too? Haven't those assaults downtown been against drunk gays?

The occurrences consisted of assault and battery with serious injuries inflicted on two U. S. Marines who are Iraq War veterans. No one has suggested that either of the two men are gay. My understanding is a gang of attackers assaulted and wounded them.
