Who ever created this post is one ignorant person. Liberals like yourself that continue to support an welfare state are disgusting. The democratic party isn't the party of hate, it's the party of manipulating less advantage people by playing hero to them and then forgetting them when it comes to making policies. The Republican party is comprised of Christians and are also the most charitable party as far as donations and assistance to others. The Democrats just preach about what is wrong but do nothing to fix anything. The party of 'Guilt' is the only way to decribe the democratic party.
You say "do nothing to fix anything" So tell me did Bush fix anything? He most certainly screwed up everything. And it will take many years to fix his mess.

>campaigned against nation building (Iraq)
>campaigned on cutting spending,(deficits and debt)
>Never talked to Bob Gates, James Baker, or his father about Iraq
>Neo-cons in the White House convinced Bush to attack Iraq

>cost of war into the trillions
>never had enough soldiers
>Mexican border still open
>refuses to pardon the two border agents doing their job
>cheap labor for business
>said "Brownie your doing a heck of a job while people suffer

>ignoring our infrastructure and spending billions in Iraq
>expands medicare
>wanted Social Security one way. No compromise
>Tom Delay closed the door to democrats
>Karl Rove closed the door to democrats
>Four amendments to the constitution at risk
>using signing statements on laws passed then interprets the law his way
>Uses his attorney general as his lawyer and not the lawyer for the constitution
>loses his own congress
>Harriet Myers debacle
>Scooter Libby and scandals
>ignorance, arrogance, incompetence
>Bush looks at things one way or no way

This may be hard to comprehend for most liberal guilt ridden democrats but as a Veteran, I can you tell you something from experience. All it takes is to have a few Windowed mothers in Iraq come up to you with their children and thank you with tears in their eyes for ridden them of Sadaam to make you understand why we were there. Of course you liberals will never understand this because your life is only viewed from a square screen with commercials in between. If you look into the eyes of those that have been freed, they is becomes very clear why we are in Iraq and what we did for them. Go ahead liberals and bash Bush and this country but for those that are there, we know the truth and we can see it in the eyes of the Iraqi people everyday.
Now tell me the mindset of George Bush:

Brownie your doing a heck of a job" while people were screaming
"Major combat operations are over in Iraq"
"I will not nation build"
"Osama Bin Laden wanted dead or alive" later "he doesn't matter anymore"
The constitution "just a goddamn piece of paper"
To Helen Thomas "What does Iraq have to do with 9/11? Nothing!
Nov 07 "I believe in a strong dollar" dollar goes lower
Mar 08 "I believe in a strong dollar" dollar goes lower more
For five years now "We are winning the war on terror"

Only from Republicans?

That's interesting, Gordon.

I was reading this blog that had this to say about Clinton's visit to Asheville:

"Thankfully, his speech was devoid of the mudslinging, race-baiting and trash-talking that characterized his earlier campaign appearances"

To me, that seems to indicate that a former non-rep president had engaged in race baiting. It's

What blog was it? Maybe you've heard of it:

Are you looking into the eyes of the 2.1 million refugees or the million dead? Maybe you're looking into the eyes of the impoverished, those who have only an hour of electricity per day?

I agree 100% with Susan Boyer's commentary "Awaiting a speech from Obama". She hit the nail right on the head. Obama speaks out of both sides of his mouth. Susan you boldly stated what needed to be said. You know how much the left loves to silence any and all opposing views. The "supposed" tolerant ones! Thank you for your frank, truthful assessment of this devisive man.

Please define devisive. I can't find it in my dictionary and I'm trying to understand what kind of a man you think Sen. Obama is. Where I went to school in Jackson County we were expected to turn to the dictionary if we didn't understand a word. It's a good habit I've kept with me all these years.

A white republican been any where near the white equivalent of rev wright and he would have been crucified and justly so. But not Barrack Hussein Obama or Reverend Wright. The writer walks out of a Southern fundamentalist church because of the inflamatory things about another's religion. He calls the Republican's the party of hatred. Perhaps he failed to notice that that a fundamentalist Democrat black church regularly spouts inflammatory accusations against a group of people because of the color of their skin. When those on the Democrat/Left can recognize the hatred that emenates from their own side, then I might take this writer seriously. Other wise he is not different than the small minded bigot that he accuses all Republican's of being.

"1960 election
The 1960 presidential election was the first in which I could vote. I learned firsthand about Southern bigotry in that election. Hate-filled Southern fundamentalist religionists opposed Sen. John F. Kennedy because of his religion. I walked out of a Southern Baptist service angry and hurt the Sunday before the election when a minister I admired very much made outrageously false statements about what it would mean to have a Roman Catholic in the White House. These lies came from an intelligent man who had to know better."
The difference is you walked out of the service angry over the remarks. Sen. Obama stayed and listened to things he disagreed with for 20 years. Did you discuss the remarks with this pastor? Did you go back for more of his sermons?
I have attended church most of my life and heard many preachers, not once have I heard a hate-filled message directed toward any specific group of people - only sins. I can tell you if I were in a church and the pastor (leader) of that church said G*D* in any context, it would be grounds for me to leave, but not before telling the pastor why I was leaving.

Yup, old Sue is just our little local Ann Coulter wanna be. I can't understand
why Bruce bothers engaging her as that is pointless. She's our narrow-minded unoriginal Republican queen. No wonder the left is winning the hearts and minds of the center with old Sue an example of the best the right has to offer. Keep it up Sue, you are gift for sure......ha, ha

Democrats entire campaign playbook is based upon lies, hatred, and fear.

Wow.
There are as many Christian Democrats as Republicans, yo. Not that people's religious background has much to say about how they conduct their lives, but this assertion shows that some think that only religious nationalism is acceptable.
Your other assertion, that helping people hurts them, isn't quite what early Christianity stood for.
Either way, it's government's function to protect its people and to create opportunity. If you think it ought to be left to the private sector, then get to work starting charities... unless you think those are wrong too.
It is not the government's function to create opportunity. Regarding charities, there used to be many more of them until the government got into the charity business. It is not charity to use the force of law to take one man's money and use it for another. That's called theft.
Nobody was starving in this country before the government started and expanded all of the entitlement programs we have today, because Americans always took care of those in need. Need being the keyword. There was a time that our country operated on individual responsibility, and the theory that if you don't work, you don't eat. Those who could not work were taken care of by friends, neighbors, charities. Now many Americans feel 'entitled' to the fruits of their neighbors' labor. Democrats are always willing to give away what they don't own.

Rev. Wright has the hatred and fear covered pretty well. No need to even try to compete with that.
