Being a lifelong Ohio State fan, I love seeing Michigan get beat; but having it be ASU that did it, makes it even that much better!!!

You could almost hear the "THUD!" of disbelief from ESPN when they had to report the "bad" news. Talk about being hopelessly over-rated! I hear Michigan paid ASU something like $400k to play.
That's kinda like taking a $100 limit to Harrah's and coming out with a million!
Three cheers for our NC team!

ASU played a fantastic game. Too bad it was not televised.

Should we be so surprised with ASU's stunning upset of Michigan? I do not think so! After all, ASU is rated the number one team in all of 1-AA football and is the two-time defending champion in 1-AA. The 2007 team just moved from number one in 1-AA to number four in the country in all divisions. As an alum of WCU, I am just so proud of the quality of football in the SoCon.

Being from Cleveland, Tn. where Defensive Coach Dale Jones is from is just great for APS. Now someone in the BIG TIME FOOTBALL needs to give Coach Dale Jones the opportunity to coach and make BIG money. He was a great player at Tennessee and he is a great Defensive Coach at apply State too.

Lifelong Michigan fan here. Hats off to App State for beating us. I love the Wolverines, but being a native of a small rural Michigan town, I love seeing the underdog win. Enjoy the victory, App State. You earned it. PDO

Go APPS! While most of the nation called it a "fluke" win, those of who are ASU students or alumni know that it takes an outstanding and talented team to make it through the Southern Conference as well as the 1-AA playoffs and championship game. Yesterday's win was not a fluke, we wanted it more than U of M, case closed. Go APPS! I read a post yesterday that said this was a 1 in 100 win for our program, and that may be true, but this win puts a big exclamation point on Kidd Brewer Stadium and the ASU football program. While this win is something that all ASU players and fans will never forget, let's remember one thing, we're defending two-time national 1-AA (or whatever subdivision is) champions, and everyone in that division has ASU in their sights this season. As big as yesterday's win is/was, next week brings another team to face the Mountaineers, who now have a huge "bullseye" on their backs. Let's hope we've come back to earth and look ahead to the next game rather than dwell on the win at the Big House...and if I know Coach Moore, he'll make sure that happens. GO APPS, and I hope to be in Chattanooga this time around.

For an event this exciting in our area, the length and amount of coverage Citizen-Times provided for this story is quite disappointing.
