<snip>Hasan was praying at Dar al-Hijrah at about the same time, and the FBI will now want to investigate whether he met the two terrorists.

Charles Allen, a former under-secretary for intelligence at the Department of Homeland Security, has described al-Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen, as an "al-Qaeda supporter, and former spiritual leader to three of the September 11 hijackers... who targets US Muslims with radical online lectures encouraging terrorist attacks from his new home in Yemen".

Well now, how could the Bush administration have missed this about Hasan for 7 years? Didn't they thouroughly investigate associates of the 9/11 attackers, especially the people where they worshiped? Could it have been that they were too obsessed with trying to connect Saddam to 9/11 and trying to sell an invasion of Iraq for other reasons? Heck, Bush even appointed him to a Homeland Security panel in 2008 because of his work at Walter Reed and his "muslimism"! Guess Bush was "fooled twice"?

Probably because the man hadn't done anything yet you DA. Or are you suggesting Bush should have viewed all muslims as terrorists?

Exactly who talked about Saddam and Iraq and the threat of weapons of mass destruction for years?

People that never said we should invade but that the Iraqis should replace their dictator who Reagan made more powerful and ruthless through his support. Why was Don Rumsfeld a "special envoy" to Saddam?

Oh! Well, the 9/11 terrorists "hadn't done anything" until they hijacked the planes! Nidal was talking trash, expressing his anti-Iraq war views for several years while working at Walter Reed and even tried to pay back the government for his education and resign from the Army but the Bush Admin wouldn't let him, why didn't they recognize and deal with his problems, they had 6-7 years of him complaining about the Iraq war and killing muslims while he was an officer in the Army, guess they were just too clueless and focused on invading Iraq and killing Iraqis.

They also knew that the Iraqis could not overthrow Saddam on their own.

Can't exactly comment without some kind of information other than your rant. Got a link or two?

Besides I do believe the whole premise of the article is that there were warning signs that were not looked at seriously. Perhaps in an effort to appear PC. How would it look to discharge a muslim who willingly signed on to the US Military for voicing opposition to a war? There are probably lots of people who sign on for the education but balk at doing the duties they agreed to do in return. You don't get a ticket out of the service for not wanting to go to war. You're hatred of Bush is such a burden to you dude. He's been gone for a year now.... time for you to put on your big boy drawers and move on.

I'm all for removing all muslims from the military. Really wouldn't have a problem with returning every last one of them back to their sandbox. As you've noted many times today, they are ticking time bombs that we have no reason to suspect agree with the American way of life and freedom...you know because of that crusade thing.

Don't you read what you post? In one of your other posts, it referred to a fellow Doctor filing a complain about his "anti-American" rants and unprofessional behavior as well as others talking about his comments about killing of muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq by American soldiers. Unbelieveable, you don't even read what you post!

"Big Boy Drawers", that's funny! I'll quit bringing up Bush when you Repuglicans quit blaming Obama for what Bush did or did not do that caused the messes Obama has to fix! Hasan, fyi, was born in Virginia, USA, he was a "native born American" citizen! Spent his entire life living in VA until he went to DC to get his medical training via the US Army, not his fault "W" allowed 9/11 and then invaded Iraq under false pretences!

If we removed all muslims along with the gay linquists, who would do the interpreting, rednecks are not language trainable, especially languages that write from right to left in Arabic script. We need muslims in the military, Hasan was just another version of Tim McVeigh and Rudolph who was put out of the Army.

Pat Tilman and his brother joined to fight OBL and the ones that perpetrated 9/11, he was instead sent to Iraq which he was against. He later was sent to Afghanistan because he honored his committment even though he could have gotten out given a contract he was offered to play football, he chose to stay but was vocal about his objections to the war in Iraq and the abandonment of Afghanistan. He was killed/murdered and his notebook taken and either burned or is at the CIA or in some rightwinger's war spoils. He wanted to go to war but for the right reason, "W" "F'd" that desire up for him. But, heck, thats "W", always screwing things up!

Actually I was wondering about him offering to repay his education and for 6 or 7 years the Bush administration specifically refusing to allow it...how many years did this dude sign on for anyway??? I think technically obama and his wife let alone many of his friends and advisers could be considered speaking anti American rants....what are we to do about them?

oh boy! A link to BLOG (from 2005)! So, instead of your baseless opinion, you gave us some other guys. Great job!

From said blog: "To believe that the White House concocted a fable about WMD in Iraq, you would have to believe in a massive conspiracy involving not only the Bush people, but both Bill Clinton’s and George Bush’s CIA director, George Tenet; Bush’s first term secretary of state, Colin Powell; Clinton’s secretary of state, Madeleine Albright; Clinton’s key NSC Persian Gulf adviser, Kenneth Pollack; and numerous WMD experts at the United Nations."

Yes, this has been proven to be true. Just read Tennet's book, read interviews with Powell, etc etc etc.

Great link, buddy.
