And just how much is this going to cost the taxpayers? The Council of Clowns has squandered all of our tax money, now they are giving away our wallets. How appropriate.

"Transit officials are encouraging people to take advantage of the reduced fare to get to places and events, such as the year’s first Downtown After 5 on Lexington Avenue."

You can ride the bus to the Downtown After 5, but the last bus for most routes leaves the transit station at 6, so good luck getting home!

Did anyone watch the city council meeting Tues. night? It seems that two more bus routes were added for the Michelle Obama event at UNCA. Wonder how much that cost the taxpayers? Also Brother Christopher's threats to city council regarding panhandling? He threatened that the homeless would tear this town apart and destroy it if any of the homeless were given tickets for panhandling.

there are only 9 routes on the schedule you post, but there are in fact well over 20 day routes.

The bus isn't that bad most of the time. I encourage people to give it a try. With gas approaching $4 a gallon, it's an affordable alternative.

Actually at $1 a pop it's cheaper for me to drive my SUV.
At $4/gallon gas
Bus
$1=3mi.(my commute)/$4=12mi.
SUV
$1=4mi.(cost of gas)/$4=16 mi.(per gallon)

Monthly passes are $15. But I like SUVs, just not filling them up.
