Depends on the size and what metal or alloy it is made of.

Thank you, I'm in the market for a small gun for myself...NOT what my husband wants me to buy. His guns are too big for my hand,(not to mention that the dang shotgun that I can barely pick up) and I would like something that I would feel comfortable with, but would also get the "job" done.

That's right. Don't have a on the spot LEO. No WNCNATIVE, I am not throwing off on the law dog, they just can't be everywhere when something happens. Gots to be your own law enforcer when it comes to yourself and family.[Gun control is using both hands]. Git-R-Done. Pop the cap.

<quoted text> Amen to that!!!! I am a petite woman and well trained with firearms. I carry either a 45 cal, 357, 38 or 5.7x28 with me at all times. Better to have a gun with you and not need it, as to need it and not have it! As far as home protection nothing beats a loaded shotgun sitting by the bed! It's time for citizens to refuse to be victims. Arm yourselves, get the proper firearms training and always be aware of your surroundings.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........my kind of woman.

Try the air wt. S&W. Excellent for females to start with and you can have a laser put on it too. I have several .38s but the air wt is one of my favorites. Just make sure you get hollow pt ammo.

My late husband was a career LEO. We often talked about how his job would have been impossible to do without law abiding gun owners. We all have a responsibility to protect ourselves and our children. I am currently teaching my daughter to shoot but she has always been taught gun safety and respect for weapons but has just now taken an interest in shooting. I wish that a law would be passed that ALL citizens must be armed! What a reduction in crime that would bring!!!! That will probably never happen but for now, most thugs wouldn't dream of a 5'3" 120lb woman packin some major heat. My 5.7 has 20 round mag with 1 in the chamber, it also has 10 round extension mag. Hmmm I believe that 31 rounds would have took care of the little thugs, if that would have been me outside of my home.

Naw, it will never happen. Some people are scared even just to touch a gun. Acts like it might bite them. Guns aren't evil, people are evil. You already know that though. Yepper, 31 rounds would take care of 5 perps but I believe the perps were also packing. Slim chance on getting all 5, unless they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
