What's a racist?

I’d like to know the definition of a racist. I am an independent and have been since I registered to vote some 38 years ago. Recently I voted against Dukakis, Dean and Kerry, but did vote for Clinton against Bush/Quayle.

So because I voted against those former POTUS [liberal] candidates as I did Obama, am I to be labeled a racist going all the way back to Dukakis?

The term "racist" has little if any impact in discussions today.

Racism is a system of oppression that is often confused with bigotry, which is disliking another group based on things like race.

A Racist is a President who plays the race card every day, and gives billions to Black Nationalist organizations like ACORN, which are a front for the Black Panthers and the Communist Party!

Yes "recently". In my view that is recent as the first election I could participate in had Richard M. Nixon as a candidate. As for your definition of racism it does not suffice.

It seems the definition for "racism" has been hammered to meet the needs of describing anyone that is against the political philosophy of Barack Obama and thusly it becomes a non-descriptor.

"Doesn't suffice"? It seems you are seeking a specific definition to suit your own needs in the same fashion you are accusing others of.

You could ask Webster, but he's a little black kid, so you might not like his definition either.

I'll give you a definition. It's a politically correct position whereby you must think and sing "Everything is beautiful in its own way" or become accused of racism.

I think the black culture stinks and has little if any redeeming qualities. It's basically do drugs, shoot your neighbors and look for a government handout. I like very much the Hispanic culture and the Japanese and Chinese cultures and the white cultures too. But I can find nothing about the black culture that interests me. Probably because I’m not into doing drugs, killing my neighbors, and looking to live off the work of someone else. If black culture is so cool then why if Africa such a stink hole?

Racism is simply disliking one on the basis of their race. It is somewhat of an issue but not nearly as much as prejudice is these days.

Political correctness contributes to a great deal of the prejudice out there.

Many voted for Obama on the basis of his race.

Racism--see Rev? Wright, Rev? Jackson, Rev? Sharpton and Prez? Obama.

It is also called Black Liberation Theology--the BLACK version of the KKK.

If the bias or prejudice is based on skin color or race, yes, you're a racist. No problem with you liking yourself, just be honest about it. Your concepts of "black culture" are based on limited information.

Because Europeans and others spent hundreds of years raping, colonizing, murdering, stealing from and subjugating it's people, even the Cubans under Castro got in on the BS! How many millions of men were captured from Africa and turned into slaves? How many millions were killed by invaders from Holland, Belgium, France, Germany and especially the UK? Worst thing they did was install dictators as their puppets and teach them how to terrorize and steal. Same in Iran, Palestine and other MidEast nations like Somalia, Burma, India, etc.

American white's have been living off the work of blacks for 400 years, now it's illegals from Central and South Amrica. Belgians were the first to chop off limbs in Africa, so, the terrorists/warlords/dictators learned from their white European teachers/invaders!
