This action of the council is unconscionable. This project WILL fail. As will any attempt to build a structure for profit on this site. I hold those who voted in favor of this stupid project responsible for the outcome. And I curse any building that is not approved by the people and for the public good within a park. So it will be.

Are you a witch with evil powers that will put a spell on things? Actually, it's the liberals (aka progressive)that allowed this to happen. Come election time these liberals will forget all about the wrongs that the council of clowns have done and vote for them again. That's about the general order of Trashville these days!

City council and other leaders are greedy.
They dont care about the historic significance
of a 103 year old basilica and that it could
collapse from heavy vibrations of this 7 story hotel.

They dont care about the vanderbilt apartment
residence. They ignored the church and their
proposal. They let mckibbon company always build
whatever they want.

Look for hundreds of ugly buildings to be built
they wont stop unless we vote them out!

The yankee transplants on City Council are determined to make Asheville a little Chicago. VOTE THEM ALL OUT!

Im all for some growth in downtown, but i want responsible growth.
Seriously a 7 story hotel with over 9,000 square feet
of retail space?
How about a house hotel with retail and it would
not have dwarfed the Basilica?
Bad growth is the aloft hotel right on biltmore.
It doesn't fit in. Bad growth is the condo
that almost got put up in pack sqaure.
Good growth is the new rankin press lofts that their doing on lexington well itleast from the rendering.
A great vintage meets modern style.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Leo

Today's Full Moon will affect your love life significantly during the next few months. You might have to say goodbye to someone you care about, or you may realize some difficult truths about your relationship. You may also have to make a tricky decision about a child or a creative project. Although this won't be a very easy time, don't make it worse by over-reacting and turning every hitch into a major drama.
