As usual, the jam was fine! However, I felt the jam last year was "un-toppable" due to the charisma of the N.O. Social Club. This year there was one person with charisma- Peter F.! No one else got the crowd going like he did; maybe Grace Potter being the exception. Like a new version of the Wilson sisters and Linda Ronstadt with those boots! Anyway, J. Browne was a snoozer to me and i missed last year's energy!

Last night will be the last time we go to the Asheville Civic Center. My husband and I go to alot of concerts all over the country.

The staff at the civic center, I have found, is the rudest and most hateful of anywhere in this entire country. They seem to all have adopted the " cop " attitude. They are all too busy being hateful, aggresive and rude to ALL patrons.

It's sad, we don't see that type of treatment anywhere else.It both angers and saddens me.
We always have enjoyed the Christmas Jam shows, but hate the "Police State" environment. Neither of us are drinkers or pot smokers either. And I didn't see one person there that was treating anyone with any disrespect or unkindness... no one except the civic center staff and the police officers!
NO, we won't be spending money at any event in Asheville NC ever again! Jannine & Marc

Not only is this concert for a fantastic cause, it brings the town alive. Warren Haynes obviously loves his hometown, and it loves him back. Would love to see more multi-star concerts come to town and, if we can do it for this once a year, there is no reason, with the right promotion, it could not be done for other special occasions and/or charitable works.
Best concert I've ever been to, including Elton John, Bob Dylan, and Willie Nelson concerts through the years!

I love my gay boy Elton John. I kiss the ground he walks on. He is my almighty idol.

Dear "Sucks"-

First off, you'd want to have a word such as "that" at the start of your first sentence at the very least.

Example- "That pretty much says it all."

Second, "Fat has beens rockin..." Dude, who is "Fat?"

"beens" should probably be "been."
"rockin" should have an apostrophe after the "n" since you're abbreviating a word.
"dope smoking" should be hyphenated;"dope-smoking "
"To bad" Seriously? You don't know the difference between "too" and "to"? In this context, you would want to use "too."

"To bad more did not OD." You're making that statement after an astonishingly improper sentence about "dope smokers." Which would lead your readers to interpret that the next sentence, about overdosing, is also about "dope smokers." "Dope" is a slang term for marijuana which is not a substance that one can overdose on.

My point is that if I can rag on three sentences you wrote this bad, you probably have no business calling people losers.

Just wanted to say that my wife and I came down from Cincinnati and had never been to Asheville. Our whole experience was nothing but positive. The show was fantastic and the event staff were nothing but helpful. Warren was Warren, and Jackson Browne was kind of a letdown...But Frampton blew the roof off of the place.

The show was great, I truly enjoy the atmosphere every year. The Police did a great job, those that created problems and tried to ruin our fun were promptly escorted from the building. Thank you civic center staff and APD, great job, and thank you Warren Haynes for continuing to come home to Asheville.

Sounds like the Citizen-Times reviewer went home early. No mention of Frampton's set??? Gov't Mule??? Frampton was by far the highlight. He was low on my list of people I wanted to see there, but his set was incredible. For the record, I'm in my 20's. I thought the whole weekend was great starting off with Gov't Mule's surprise set at Stella Blue on Friday afternoon. Can't wait until next year.

I wonder why we do not see a police blotter listing all the drug arrests, backpack searches, etc at the Civic Center during this concert?

There were certainly plenty of drugs at the concert.

Kinda' makes you wonder?

T-Bone - Look at the video. Does that look like we went home early? Couldn't have gotten Gov't Mule if we had left any earlier than 1:30 or 2:00. Frampton came on much earlier than that.

To Jannine. You need to stay in good old retirementville, and quit seeing shows, because you dont have a clue about good music or having a good time. "oh we see shows all over the place, and dont have a problem like the civic center in Asheville" B.S your so full of sh#^!! This is one of the best and coolest Live Music cities in the country.Stay home next time!! Warren never relocate the Jam.Asheville is Home.Peace.
