We're broke.
$18 million in cuts in regional school transportation and local towns are asking for cuts in school budget alone make further school regionalization unlikely. Pepperell asked for a $350,000 reduction. Taxpayers are expecting a reduced budget from "savings" promised from closing two schools, making the superintendent's position officially part-time, and reduced student enrollment. Repair any legitimate code and safety problems at the high school and get focused on providing the education our kids deserve. |
