Officials with the state Oil Conservation Division are investigating the collapse of a brine well southeast of Artesia.

Well the coast has to worry about the ocean being brought to them.. The heart land has tornados.. California has to worry about their ground moving. Us? We have to worry about our ground disappearing...
Is it me or is the SE NM area known for a bunch of big holes in the ground? Potash mines, Caverns, WIPP.. I'm sure that crash in Roswell in '41 made a hole.
