Unfortunately I could not attend, however, Just as she decided the fate of my family, her fate was decided for her. I hope she lives a Very long life, so that everyday she can remember the pain & hurt she caused and think about the freedom she will never be able to enjoy. Just as my family will never be able to experience life nor should She. My mom and I thank you all for the love and support we recieved! I could not ask for anything more! I may have lost my dad , brothers & sister, but god was kind enough to bless me with another family. Thank you all! I love you! A Special thank you to Judge Torribio. I know my family is watching over us and those we love. May their memory live on forever in our hearts and souls.

She is loco ro think so she is going to get parole.
Yhe State Constitution states

"SEC. 8.(a) Subject to application procedures provided by statute,
the Governor, on conditions the Governor deems proper, may grant a
reprieve, pardon, and commutation, after sentence, except in case of
impeachment. The Governor shall report to the Legislature each
reprieve, pardon, and commutation granted, stating the pertinent
facts and the reasons for granting it. The Governor may not grant a
pardon or commutation to a person twice convicted of a felony except
on recommendation of the Supreme Court, 4 judges concurring.
(b) No decision of the parole authority of this State with respect
to the granting, denial, revocation, or suspension of parole of a
person sentenced to an indeterminate term upon conviction of murder
shall become effective for a period of 30 days, during which the
Governor may review the decision subject to procedures provided by
statute. The Governor may only affirm, modify, or reverse the
decision of the parole authority on the basis of the same factors
which the parole authority is required to consider. The Governor
shall report to the Legislature each parole decision affirmed,
modified, or reversed, stating the pertinent facts and reasons for
the action

Unless if you have especially migiatiated case, you do not get parole for muder. Otherwise, the way out is an outsider working a 12-step based approach to gaining parole. The 9th step requires full reconcilation and amends to the DA and the family. Once the 9th step is performed, it removes objections from the victims family and law enforcement. And the person has learned to live a spiritual livestyle, learned to be brutally honest, learned how to root toxic emotions out of their soul

No one would want to do that much work to save those creeps. I would never do it unless the person was an addict/alcoholic and than I do it because it makes me work a very good program . Like I said, unless you are in 12 step program, people got no business saving these creeps and bailing them out.

She already got convicted and sentenced to life without years ago dummy. She won an appeal and they sent her back to re-sentence her to 100 years -or four sentences of 25L.

How dumb is our justice system ? Then they wonder why the state is in the financial trouble it is in. A case like this should have been done with the first year it was in process. What else other than life in prison could they expect for these punks? All this was, was a waste of taxpayers time and money. Just give them the death penalty. They deserve it. Atleast then this poor girl Sylvia will know that they received the same fate as her family did.

Typical. Causing problems, drama and releasing her dog on people. Then you roll on the floor and act like you're innocent and you don't know nothing.

this guy worked with my step dad and was real nice. This girl was an ungreatful brat.
She had them killed over being grounded. letting this waste of life out would be wrong. Like a dog once they have tasted blood and death its so much more easier to do again.....Think about it 16 and murder on ur mind....what the hell do ya think this crazy thinks now!!!!!!!!!! she will be forever a killer and will lay in her dormant until she decides to do it again. And mark my words she will kill in prison. look at the low life we otta give her the chair. While 4 people lay in graves she gets 3 meals a day and treated humanely. Where was the humane treatment of the family that took her in? rot in hell you evil no good excuse for a humAN

i WISH THERE WERE THINGS WE COULD DO TO MAKE THIS BETTER BUT NO ONE CAN. I wish she would have got the death sentence. no one deserves this. Someone like her doesnt suffer. with out a heart there is no suffering. she is calused by the devil and will be torchered in her after life by the knife she so willingly killed with.

Right, and she's gonna be released after serving less than one-third of that sentence. Just ask Phillip Garrido. He got released after serving 11 years of a 50-year sentence and went on and kidnapped Jaycee Lee Dugard and kept her captive for 18 years and bore 2 siblings. If the justice system has been inept and incompetent in monitoring Phillip Garrido's movements over the past 18 years, not to mention the governor and the State Legislature contemplating on releasing 37,000 prisoners into the streets for the next 6 months, then how can you be confident that this bitch is gonna serve her entire 100-year sentence???? So much for jury duty.

How can you trust the government as a whole to take care of your health care needs once the government takes over the healthcare system?????

I spent some time with Sylvia and Espie a few years ago when I was writing about their case for the Whittier Daily News. They are amazing people, and my heart goes out to both of them. They have been through an unimaginable hell and, at the least, I hope Monica's sentencing can give them some peace. It is impossible to understand why this awful crime happened but I hope the surviving family members have been able to move forward and find happiness because they truly deserve it.
