could it have been a husband and wife in an ugly divorce??? after some of the things we've seen lately in the surrounding areas, NOTHING would surprise me. however, my heartfelt sympathies to the families involved...i can't even imagine

They were not husband and wife, they were cousins who were also good friends. NO, it wasn't a game of chicken. It is a horrible tragedy and a complete accident. Our community is terribly saddened by this and our thoughts and prayers are with both families. Amy will truly be missed.

<gasp> What a tragedy.
Thoughts go out to the families. May they find peace and know they are together.
One isn't left with tormenting guilt.

who is together? and why isn't one left? There was a 2 car accident with 1 person killed.

This post makes no sense.

I'm just wondering if you are going to be as pragmatic if this sort of thing ever hits home with you.

Seatbelts would not have made a difference in this accident, believe me, I came up on it 5-10 minutes after it happened. I hope nothing like this ever happens to someone you know and if it does, hopefully they will have on their seatbelts and it will save them, sometimes a seatbelt won't help and this was one of those times.

way to be sympathetic. just what the family needs to hear...not what a tragedy, or your thoughts are with them, just people never learn. what a jerk.

Amy was a beautiful girl and a gift to this earth, her family is wonderful and I only wish them comfort in this time of grief. It was a terrible accident and a very sad time for everyone in this area.

You are an uncaring idiot. NO they were not playing chicken only on the same country road at the same time. I hope you never have to deal with anything like this and then have an idiot like yourself post a comment like this. Hope you think twice next time.
