Its also called a violation of seperation of powers. It is illegal for Supervisors (the legislative) to manipulate the planning department(the executive) for their friends. I have some problems with Planning Department brownshirts, so how can I get someone to smooth things over for me? Jeff Almquist put Hallcrest Vineyards in Felton under "protection" when they got red tagged for a use permit violation. The owner was a libertarian, but Jeff convinced him to campaign for the SLV swimming pool tax and hold some democratic fundraisers at the winery. He was caught by the Grand Jury and written up in their 2003 report.
See Supervisor Litticoat 1974
See Salesian Sisters 2004
See Pirie 2007- See Planning 2007

Same thing. Violation of Building Codes, Violation of Supervisor Litticoat to bend rules for her Children and the Salesian School, Proof and nada. Why? I saw the documentation/proof from a neighbor. Nobody cared except for those it effected most. It was the land owners of Corralitos who got $#*^ed. The Salesians got caught with their Habits on the Supervisors desk for 30 years.

I have worked with Ellen Pirie for a few years now off and on. Or should I say tried to work with Ellen Pirie. She is the ultimate waffler. I am sure there are many on the Aptos Region who will second me on this one.
Anybody but Pirie. Without getting into detail We Can Not Trust this Woman at All.
Even when the South Public County Schools are going down the toilet maybe she should step in and address this critical issue. Where is she? No where to be found.
She sure got her raise passed through as teachers are being fired and school libraries are being closed. The county keeps on spending and the schools keep on suffering.
What is her position on anything? Waffler! She will not stick her neck out for anybody. Right or Wrong! What is her position on the Illegal Immigration that plagues our schools and county?
Crime? Taxes? Oh she is for more taxes!
VOTE NO on R
VOTE anyone but Pirie!

I've never taken the Sentinel seriously, ever since it endorsed Bush in the 2000 election.

Redwood City?!

I'm not in Redwood City, and neither is my IP address.

Yo Sentinel - just like your Republican sources, IP geolocation has long been known to be wildly inaccurate.

Live, from Felton: Pirie and Stone try to bring 55 housing units to a 4 acre swampy footprint on 14 acres of land, with no sewer. Yes, these folks are pure geniuses.
Even smarter: they are using RDA tax money from the good people of Live Oak and Soquel. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Please, when you vote, ANYBODY but Stone. Send a message: no more secret deals. The public has no patience for secret deals.
Hey District 2-
don't take the anybody but Pirie road- vote Dan Young, someone who has a better plan!!!!

Between Ellen Pirie with her Aptos High Density Village Plan and Mark Stone with his Felton Faire High Density Housing Plan.....neither of these characters should remain in office. These incumbents, along with the Sentinel, have done a great disservice to the residents of Districts 2 and 5.

They both use their "nonprofit" campaign committees to push these onerous housing developments. Then they appoint their devotees to commissions. It's a bad program this corruption thing.

Please vote AGAINST Pirie and Stone.

Mark Stone is as phony as many Sierra Club leaders. These “green”grubbing “environmentalists” have been exposed for selling out what matters for power and money. Their words a useful as Mark Stone's environmentally harmful signs that have the Sierra Club's endorsement stamped all over these eyesores. Mark Stone is enabling a subsidized housing project that threatens our water quality.

Stone: self serving political hack, trainee (The Sentinel says as much)

Pirie: self serving political hack, but more effective (The Sentinel strikes again)

If you vote for these liars and schemers, you will get what you deserve.

On another note, doesn't Stone always look like he left the coat hanger in his suit jacket.

The man is a stiff and uptight but empty suit.

Lot of folks in the San Lorenzo Valley angry at Stone for his support of the housing development. Nobody's fooled by his saying that he is waiting for the EIR.

In fact, he authorized $700,000 to South County Housing to help fund their tests and EIR. Conflict of interest.

We can't afford another four years of Ellen Pirie! What has she done? Nothing but double talk. She fights development in her own neighborhood than supports it elseware. She is nothing more that a transplant to Santa Cruz who needed a good paying job and got herself elected by deceit.
DO NOT REELECT ELLEN PIRIE!!!!!!

Newsflash...
Ellen and entire Board of Supervisors (who unanimously endorse her) put off any action on our groundwater emergency again...at next Tuesday's meeting...
until June 10 (maybe?)....safely after the June 3 election...
How coincidental!
I guess they think after they are all safely reelected they can continue on doing nothing.

Mark Stone in 2004 Save the Felton meadow!
Mark Stone in 2008 Pave the Felton meadow!

Mark Stone in 2006 Save the Lompico Watershed!
Mark Stone in 2006 Pave the Felton watershed!

Fake environmentalist. Politically motivated. Doesn't understand the concept of representation.
