Old Lemay Ferry Road & Church Road

I recently saw that the Old Lemay Ferry Road & Church Road & Old Missouri State Road intersection will not be open until July 28. The original open date was set for Memorial Day, then moved to June 24, moved again to July 14 & now July 28. Do you think this will ever open back up? I know, I know - the weather is being blamed & the rock is harder than they thought it would be. Come on folks, rock is hard - that's why it's called rock. I hope the city of Arnold has a time frame built into their contract where if the work is not done by a certain date, money is deducted from the payment to the company doing the work. This seems to be dragging out way too long. Pretty soon the whole plaza will be open and this will still be a bottleneck. It's time for this company to get on the stick. Work around the clock if necessary but get the job done. This is affecting the traffic on Highway 141 a lot & needs to be fixed.

It's not helping that they are working on the 141 intersection there also. They have been shutting down left lanes on each side and for some reason, people want to drive all the way to the end in the left lane and then they expect you to let them over. There is a sign on the road to let everyone know the lanes are closed as if that and the long line of cars in a single lane isn't enough of a clue.

If they have to blast that rock out, I don't think they can blast when certain conditions exist (like rain and the such). If they have to blast it, then I can see why the delays.

You know, I could see some delay but come on folks - blast the heck out of that rock & get the job done. You're driving us nuts already. It looks like somebody is making a carrer out of this 1 job. Get done and move on.

I think blasting may be impractical in that location. You have one occupied house nearly on top of the location, and one or two more just down from it, the Baptist Church at AT&T just across from it.
It does seem to be taking a long time though, and I am guessing that with all the wet weather, some safety issues may be part of the delay.

I just drove by there yesterday and it looks like they are all of the way through. Granted I can't see from the other side, but it looks like the hole is all of the way through from the Lowe's side.
