Embattled Woodward County sheriff survives in primary race

As a former county sheriff in Oklahoma i know first hand how it feels to get railroaded . You can believe what you want to , but i know for a fact if a sitting co sheriff disagrees with the state on anything especially with the osbi they will come after . When they come after me they waited untill the middle of election year to politically and publicly assaninate my office .After filling charges of coarse they were dropped . The damage had already been done . I dont know your sheriff ,but dont be too quick to judge him ,because the state investigators will lie to win thier case . Believe me they do not care about justice . Good luck

Railroaded is a nice way to phrase what certain folks have done to Sheriff Les Morton.And what better time to ATTEMPT to destroy the sheriff's career,then election time?All these years,citizen's of Woodward County have been pleased with Les,and suddenly a few old turds who think they are high and mighty and far above the rest of us,decide they will oust Les by any means they can dream up.
Mark my word,it would be an absolute trainwreck for Woodward County if either of the two other candidates running for sheriff were to be elected.

As a victim of a crime in Woodward County and aquiring first hand knowledge of the inner workings of the Woodward county Sheriff's office and the Woodward County District Attorney office. I can assure all, that the charges that were brought up against Morton were made entirely to discredit Morton and get him out of office. Time and time again, criminals are turned loose with a slap on the wrist for Felony convictions in Woodard County. Morton has been and will remain always on the side of the victims and not the criminals. Wish I could same the same of the district attorney's office. It's a worst crime to write a hot check in Woodward County than to commit rape.
Every deputy I talked to in the county voted for Les Morton. I think that make a profound statement.

Personal and Professional are two seperate issues. Professionally Les Morton has spent his life dedicated to protecting the citizens of Woodward and has done an excellant job, He is a strong leader for his deputies, Personal disappointment can only come from false expectations. His life was his work, it came above any personal relationships, if you loved him, I am sorry for your distress, but do not attack him professionally with personal issues.
