Apparently, the responsibility to handle both shooting investigations is in the hands of the Arnaudville P.D. But how the department is handling it is not sitting well with residents who say they have more questions than answers.
"I was shown a memo from the police Chief that says his officers were not to patrol at night, they are to stay in the office and not patrol the streets of Arnaudville until they get a call," said Guidroz.
Guidroz says he's not involved in the investigation because it's a jurisdictional matter, but because of residents concerns, he has deputies patrolling the area.
TV-10 reached out to Chief Mizzi several times but he was unavailable for comment.
"It's frustrating for me," said Guidroz. "They're my constituents too and I don't think they're being treated fairly. There's great injustice there."
