May you continue to keep up the good work by instilling fairness and respect in our young people. Teaching insubordination is wrong in any part of life. You wonder why our students come out of our schools uneducated? Read the first post and see what a so-called teacher in this country writes like. As for the remainder of you little Obama "the liar" followers, think about this. In less than four years we will throw this socialistic bum out of office. What planet do you live on? Obviously you did not listen or read the speech. Every one always talk about how kid's nowadays don't respect their elders, others or themselves. You are the perfect example of Why. you are teaching your children not to respect the leader of the country in which they were born. You can disagree with his issues, but why don't you have your kids make their own decision about the speech,And maybe you can speek about it around the dinner table. Oh wait a minute most American families don't do that either! Where in that speech did you hear a socialistic agenda? He was telling our children to stay in school and work hard. Maybe coming from him some students will listen. Everything that he said is what parents have been and should be telling their kids, but looking at statistics, obviously they are not listening. First of all before you go putting down a teacher you have to ask yourself what you are doing in your life that is touching and encouraging young minds. I’m sure the answer is nothing. Your comments show you could use a little more education. He never said anything other than it was nice to have a positive message given to the kids. Have you read or watched the speech? If so you would see that there was no agenda but words of encouragement. I have to wonder if you have kids what they turned out like. What kind of high paying jobs did they aspire too? I'm just curious. |

Oh well... "We" elected them and they will likely be re-elected because people just aren't buying the false drummed up fears promoted by the right.
Wanna talk about lies, why don't you give some facts insteads of blanket empty statements? Obama a socialist... hmmm, not really, and even he is was, it wouldn't be the end of the world. If that's the scariest, well... its seems like you haven't really got anything concrete complain about.

The speech that President Obama gave
to the schools today I would pose one question: is that the original or speech he planned to give or edited a great deal after the negativity across America that he was going to speak to the schools? There were changes made in the discussion questionnaire by the Secretary of Education's Department in Washington. |

In both the Bush and Obama back to school speaches, the Presidents should not address our children directly during school hours. The addresses should have been made during the dinner hours when families could view them together and discuss the impact on the kids. We can easily, as a nation, become so trusting of our representatives that we no longer feel hesitancy. That is when we will loose.
