I was born and raised in El Paso and moved to Arlington years ago due to a job transfer.

I was on an El Paso post about HUD, and their comments were about the same. Thank you George for your posts, I thought they were great !!!!!

My daughter graduated from Sam many years ago. At the time Sam was only okay. Today it is out of control.

My grandson has lived with us off and on his whole life. I am in the Sam school district. A year and a half ago he attended Sam's. I spent a lot of my time in the asst Principle office, due to problems with him.

I saw my grandson go downhill. The school is made up of gangs. I don't remember the names of the gangs, but he was being messed with by a vietnamese gang. He had me scared to death for him every day. And he was a kid without any common sense just wanted to be cool.

Sam's is totally out of control. All the halls have graffiti on the walls and lockers. Kids are getting killed frequently. If we can not get control there are going to be many more. And it won't be just gangs. Some of these kids cut class and party at vacant houses and not necessarily gang related.

Someone needs to do something and I do not have a clue who.
