I think it is discriminating to smokers regarding these smoking bans. I can understand not smoking in restaurants, but in bars. What right does the cities have to dictate how a private club owner runs his business. We don't tell the politicians how to run their cities. You just pretend to agree and still do what will fill your pockets.
My opinon, if you don't like the smoke in bars than don't go in them. There is more crap in the air and even our food/water that could kill you or give you cancer quicker than being exposed to second hand smoke. Why don't the cities focus more on making our cities safe from violence, help the homeless etc..........

This is what the liberal, Nazi socialist always do - remove rights of private citizens. Anyone who owns a restaurant, bar, etc., is smart enough to decided for themselves if THEY want to allow smoking or not. These city council people need to be voted out of office and replaced with people who respect our individual rights to make decisions for ourselves!

It's so easy to use the word liberal. When did it become fashionable not to think and just react like a conservative. The nazi socialists do things like illegal search and seizure, profiling and illegal phone taps. The nazi socialists encourage outsourcing and encourage ceo's to make 10k times the average worker they employ and not give the workers benefits.

Nice club you belong to. Keep it to yourself.

While I don't smoke - never even tried it - it is getting ridiculous - there are even political ideas that want to limit your ability to smoke in your car, apartment or home.

Good lord - who died and made these people God?

I agree. I hate cigarette smoke more than anyone but I do see the bigger picture here. Next they will ban french fries, caffienated drinks, reading the bible in public, blah blah. I value freedom and we are slowly losing it.
