Garage sales are critical to the economy. How many ways will our government continue to impose higher and higher taxes and overhead on the poor. Limiting the garage sales, limits the poor and thrifty's access to second hand goods. Forces sellers to eBay or increase the land fill. Recycling goods through garage sales is a green endeavor that should be encouraged not further regulated and opposed.

Are you kidding me ? This ordinance is to keep your neighbor from having a junk sale in his front yard every day and having the street lined up with cars parking in your driveway , yard , etc , and people eyeing your house while they "shop " .
Where I live ( Irving ), you can have 2 sales a year and it costs nothing for the permit -more than fair !

I agree. This is just another tactic for the local government to make money.

They care nothing about the other issues involved.

Heck, it is hard enough to find a sale around here!

Why does the gov't always have to get a piece of the pie? When they see a good thing they take it. Gas is high enough. It will get higher. Leave us alone and let us recycle - go green - heck, survive!!!

what a joke...a failure ! the city sticking their nose in a garage sale !

Ed Koch made sure NYC was safe and clean with his bogus "quality of life" laws. The quality is the same but the coffers are getting greener off the back of hard working tax payers.

who is worse ? The city of Dallas or the NTTA ?
stimulous bogus checks
