I think this is a bad idea. Did she forget about the accident a couple of years ago when the Legacy student died? Bad Bad idea. Her son needs to bring lunch from home. My daughter goes to Legacy and I know the lunch isn't so great. I tell her to eat a good breakfast and take a snack until school is over then eat a snack then. I hope MISD does not approve this!!!!!! Not only do these school kids lack experience driving but I don't know how many times I have had a close call with kids running in front of me to go to Whataburger. Thank God I expect it so I am very cautious when driving on that road.

MISD Please don't make our schools open campus. We have enough trouble keeping our children safe.

This is a very bad idea! My children grew up in Amarillo High School District, which is pretty nice, and it was an open lunch period. For MY children, it was great, because we lived close enough that they could run home for a fast sandwich, left-overs, or microwaved meal (whatever I found time to fix for them), but they were the exception. Most kids got out on a few major streets and went to the popular places and created a huge traffic hazard. I was sitting at Taco Villa one lunch period and saw a fatality crash that killed a friend of my daughter. I saw her taken away on a gurney, and I hope I never see that sight again.

Nothing is worth the danger than a large number of students let out on the streets at the same time presents. It may not be convenient to you, but do you want to see a beautiful 16-year-old girl killed before your eyes?

Daily Horoscope for November 23

Cancer

The Moon and Mars combine to create passion in your life so try and stay calm during important discussions. Don't lose your cool during business transactions, but by the same token, don't let anyone run roughshod over you. Those of you with children should keep a close eye on them, as accidents are more likely to happen today.
