Girl, 17, is jailed in fatal shooting

I am a mom of a friend of Tessa Abbott. I think this entire situation is very bothering and I spoke with my son about it and he said that his circle of friends is very small due to situations just like this. He said "I don't know who to trust anymore." I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Tessa's parents. I can't start to imagine the pain they must be experiencing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I went to school with Tessa since the 4th grade. She was very nice to me, and the whole experience has been tragic. My thoughts and prayers with you too.

May God bless the family and friends of Tessa Abbott.This situation is unfortunate,our young people need to realize that you life can change in a matter of seconds. And the choices they make will effect the rest of their lives(good or bad).

I taught Diana this last year, and she is a brilliant young person who had to overcome a lot that she shouldn't have at 17. I believe that this tragic situation was an accident and my heart and prayers are with both families because not 1 but 2 lives were destroyed.

i go to my front door every night and say my prayers and say one for the abbott family also me and my family knew tessa very well we used to live right down the street from tessa and her family my older sister and her were really close we all miss tessa very much. all you can do when somethimg bad like this happens is think of all the good times we had with tessa and not the bad. the abbott family will stay in my familys prayers. Are you praying to your front door?

my prayers are with Tessa and Her Family who i try and go see very often and i see Tessa at least twice a week!! i used to babysit her when she was little!! i love u and miss u girl u are missed deeply and will always be in my prayers!!
i dont knwo what to believe but all i know if this is or was an accident what happened to the gun that was invovled someone that was there knows something more than wha is being said and im sorry a 17 year old should know better than to be playing with guns!!

i kno this wasnt an accident for the fact i kno tessa was horrified of guns. But tessa will forever remain in my heart. Becky and Marlon you kno im here for you whenever you need me. I see you are doing better since u went to shanees funeral. My brother died almost 7years ago and my mom still cant walk into a funeral. Just please whoever is reading this stay away from guns, dont put yourself in that kind of enviroment. All of this could have been prevented if someone would have called the cops right away instead of 10-15min after the incident.

I went to school with Tessa in 7th and 8th grade and was there with her the few days she went to Bowie HS, we talked alot, my mom and I would even pick her up from venture, to this day april 2009 i still think about her and miss her terribly, i know a ton of people who all loved and adored tessa and we all miss her

I also went to schoool with tessa and I do go to bowie,Ive known her for a long time. I moved away for a little while,then I came back and found out that she got shot. It broke me to tears. tyler I think I might know you!
