Woman trying to push car off I-20 struck, killed in Arlington
A woman trying to push her disabled car off Interstate 20 was struck and killed in Arlington Saturday night, police said.

she was probably just trying to do the right thing so that someone else wouldn't be hurt. I am guilty of moving my vehicle like that too but after this I'll never do that again. Best wishes to her family.

The city really does need more lighting on that stretch of highway. It is very dark and few road lights.

i cant tell you how many times i have seen care flight on that particular stretch of hwy. there have been sooo many deaths all over the state on that hwy. not that i buy into this sort of thing, but some people say that I20 is cursed.

EXCELLENT POINT
There are SO MANY areas in DFW that have POOR or NO lighting. Ever been down I-30 on Grand Prairie....that long stretches with poles...but the lights arent on...? WHY? |

this is really a sad story, I know the people that were driving the car, they arent even 21 imagine having to live with that.

My niece is the one that was struck and killed in the accident on that day Saturday September 27, 2008. My niece was a very loving,caring,wonderful,and the person that planned all of our family gatherings. The guy that struck and killed my niece was driving without insurance therefore and had no business driving. My niece's daughter is doing okay for now, but she is going to therapy and needs counseling to help her throught this tragedy. I miss my niece very much and I hate that I can't see and talk to her every day like we always did. |
