If anyone is interested in discovering what American schools are like, watch this video. It's kind of long, but it sucks you right in. If you can't sit through it all watch ten minutes at a time. well worth it.

Maybe now we can get rid of some of the waste in those bloated school budgets.

Not without a new Governor we can't. The Progressives answer to everything is MORE TAXES.

I said here over a year ago that the Governor was out of his mind. He said THEN, that the fiscal shortcoming of revenue would result in more taxes. What's he crazy? If the state didn't take in enough money from taxes and fees, it's because they already bled us dry. So his answer is raise taxes again? Why is it that almost every job requires taking some sort of test or certification except in politics? I think he needs to start pissin in a cup once a month for testing. It's insane.

Einstein., arguably one of the most famous quotes. The definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over again and expecting different results."

I was a teacher in Massachusetts for almost four decades. Almost all teachers were outearned by almost all police officers, toll collectors and most town employees at mid and higher levels. It would not be a stretch for me to say that most of the faculty were more highly educated than most (save a few) of those who outearned us. I hardly think that the schools budgets are bloated compared to other areas of government.

patriot, thank you for your voice of reason and common sense. some of your thoughts are refreshing and cut to the core of societies problems. do you advise a person to buy gold and silver? if so, what is the best way to do it? any advice would be appreciated.

I'm flattered you'd ask me. And I lose sleep over the thought. I finally came to the conclusion a few weeks ago, that the Patriot Act, which Obama never abolished as he promised, provides that with some exceptions all gold and silver can be taken away from us, put simply. So we'd have a hard time using it as money during marshal law. so I sold off all my gold and silver and bought more ammunition, which will be worth its weight in gold. If the government starts throwing us in work camps, just go to some liberals house and take what you need to survive, They don't have guns.

As for an investment? It seems to me there's an awfull lot of promotion going on for selling and buying gold at the moment. Can't seem to get away from it. And I wish I had time to investigate who owns all these trading companies. My gut feeling is that; the bankers are buying it up from people who need the cash to pay bills more than they need the old jewelry laying around. Then they turn around and sell it to upper middle class or wealthy people at a good profit, convincing them that the Federal reserve (themselves) are going to start printing money like crazy inflating the dollar, and making the gold sky rocket. Then they will manipulate the markets, gold will plummet, and the fed will buy it all back at some point for $450 $500 an oz. and make a killing.

Remember the golden rule. "He who has the gold, makes the rules."

I'm no economist, but when you think about this stuff long and hard enough, something logical usually come out. The elite banking families are going to end up with it ALL sooner or later if we keep letting them rule the government. If we lose the guns, it will happen over night. Just my humble opinion.
