Wouldn't a town ambulence service require more employees, more equipment? More health care benefits? I don't have to drive very far before I see private ambulences sitting around waiting for a call, what possible benefit could a town ambulence service have? Other than costing taxpayers even more money, I don't get it.

birds eye view West Newton, MA	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #3 Mar 12, 2008 I think it is a good plan, however, I don't think the town can afford it right now. There's the old adage that in order to make money, you need to spend money, and it sounds like they don't have it to spend.
