Has anyone every heard anything about this mansion? We took some pics over the weekend and some strange faces came up in the windows of this vacant house. We want to go back and try to see if we can contact someone to get a tour inside the house.
Anyone know the history? |

I'v taken photos of the mansion time and time again i believe you should rethink those ''faces'' it's an old mansion dating back to WWII it's a historical landmark so no one would just let you buy it. I live here in Necedah.

I live in Necedah also, and I go past that mansion every day, heck i've even walked up to it and looked inside, haunted I think NOT. IT's an awesome building though, if they did do tours I bet they would make a good share a $Cash$ I would definitely like a tour. I can't belive they are just letting it sit there, no one even maintains it

I've Been in there and its not haunted the guys came up here in necedah and me and my friends asked for a tour and they did it they said were not allowed in the basement or the attic wich was kind of weird. But ya its just going to waste |

I've lived in Necedah too... I always dreamed of buying it and fixing it up but I doubt they'll ever sell it. My husband and I was wondering who owend it cuz we wanted blue-prints of the building. If anyone knows who actually owns it let me know.

You might contact the Necedah Village Admin. and they might possibly tell you who owns it. Roger Harried is the Village admin or Cheryl Zipper his assistant.I have been here 45 years give or take 10 and have never heard about it being haunted. I do not believe a priest owns it, though from what I gather the owners are from Illinois. At one point in time 1979-1983 (in that time frame) it was a half way house for girls. The only thing that is maintained is the lawn and that's just mowing.

The manison is not haunted. As someone previously stated, I was also able to tour the place but unable to go into the upper level and the basement. And i am now only 10 but my Grandma know's the owners! I toured the manison in December 2007.

Last week I drove through Necedah for the first time. My eyes and heart was captured by this big old mansion. I stopped and took pictures of this beautiful building. I was so intrigued by it that when I saw the neighbor next door I stopped to speak with him regarding the mansion. I was told that many people stop and take pictures and to inquire about this old lovely house. I personally think that this old place needs a large loving family living there. A house needs to be lived in. It truly breaks my heart to see this obvious beautiful home sit and crumble slowly under our eyes. I implore to the owner to please sell it so that someone can fix it up for all to enjoy or that he would fix it up.

I live in Necedah. I have tried to look into the mansion but can only look through the small window by the front door. The rest of the windows are boarded up. I also would love to see the inside of this old house. I have had dreams of this house and would love to find out if it looks like it did in my dreams. can anybody tell me what it looks like inside? I have walked all around the outside and have no spooky feelings there.

I have been in Necedah for many years, I have been in the Mansion when I was young. It has old wallpaper in many of the rooms, my parents were going to buy it, at the time, but the old man that was caring for it, lived there, which meant if we buy it he has to move out, so he scared us by saying he always heard strange noises, so of course we freaked and changed our minds. It has many fireplaces, and tall ceilings, very run down, and yeah spooky. and very dingy inside. But heard they used to have many fancy balls in those days, and once had a very fancy flower garden, which the stones are still there. hope this helps |
