You can't take away the right to vote on the grounds of mental illness. That would exclude all religious people, and the crazy right wingnuts would dissappear from government.
more like, illegal attempts to get votes and block other voters who dont support the trash frauds on the Ballot, example, Florida's proposed elimination of non-U.S. citizens from its voter rolls is necessary to preventing voter fraud, etc, KS , nothing but trashy second rate state , cult op frauds, voter fraud, etc.

If you can pay taxes, I say you can vote and no one should have the right to tax you and then say you cant vote. Limited Government MEANS Limited Government. I have to disagree with you slightly Beaner. Respectfully
your a fool, this state is chickenhawk pussie all the way, your a vet ? they will attempt to lie to defraud you through this state, good to see more of the dirt water pussies employed in the state snuffed a black bagged, state is open corruption / fraud all the way, second rate state, easy film expose, and ongiong direct porks and pins on state reps all the time.

I have no issue with non-US Citzens voting in US elections....be they local or national. If they want to vote, then become US Citzen's or get the hell out of the country.

You sure as hell can't vote in anyone else's elections if you aren't a citizen...try it sometime; you may like foreign prisons.

Let's all get behind someone who can do some good for America...Vote for Rand Paul.....

i am bipolar, have been for 30 yrs. Mine is a lot of chemical imbalance. A person should be able to vote. No to GENERAL TERM mental illness classification. With the mental health programs shuting down, i think that the persons that are serverly disabled wont be showing up to vote. i
dont know. I live in texas, and have a 22lr and 20 guage shoot guns. If you are GENERAL TERM mental illness, it is against the law to own or posess a gun. But they are not taking my rights away from me to bare arms and to protect myself. I would have to be in a coma or totally incapacitated before they take my guns away.

The mentally ill vote all the time. You have to be mentally ill to vote Republican if you make less than $250,000 a year.

They have certainly perfected George Bernard Shaw's definition of conservatism: "Promote selfishness as a virtue."

What's scary is that 47% of the voters actually voted for Romney - and these people want guns - God help us all :)

Those that did not vote for Obama did not do so because they were smart enough to see how crooked he was, like everyone, including his admiring media are finding out now.

You're funny! Sad - but funny.
Honestly - I voted for McCain the first time around, and if the Republicans had put forth a better candidate than Romney maybe I would have stayed with the Republican ticket.

BiPolar momma, just out of curiosity... you say you live in "texas"... but when you posted on Monday, Topix showed your location (based on IP address of the server you routed through, presumably) as "Bellevue, WA"... that's a difference of a few thousand miles.

So, does this chemical imbalance also alter/impair your geospatial interpretation? In a voting situation, could this impair your ability to find your own precinct, polling place, etc.?

Good luck!

Those that did vote for Obama did so for a variety of reasons...

1) They saw that he was clearly superior to the incompetent sh!tbags that the GOP offered up as alternatives... in two consecutive election cycles.

2) They saw, heard, and did laugh with considerable merriment and glee, at the never-ending wild, hare-brained, idiotic rumors, lies, and falsehoods that the bigoted, right-wing, fascist GOP Propaganda Machine worked overtime to pump out. "He's a Muslim!"... "He wasn't born here!"... "He's a socialist!"... "He's a criminal!"... "He's bisexual"...

3) They saw, heard, and did laugh with EVEN GREATER amusement AND amazement at the inbred, hillbilly, incestuous, farm-animal-copulating degenerates like *YOU* who can't string a sentence together without a triple negative or proper punctuation.

Does that about answer it, you insufferable, worthless cumtwat?

There are several ways to define mental illness, of course, but someone who makes less than $100K/yr who votes Republican is pretty stupid.

So called "conservatives" have been voting for Republicans since the 1960s but things do not get better for them, and in many ways they have gotten worse. Some say insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

The meme of the "liberal media" who worship Obama is a crock. They have been much, much harder on him than they ever were on that guy from California in the 1980s with the Shinola in his hair.

I was a registered D and voted for Obama in 08. Don't be pissed Agnostick that I am obviously smarter then you are and wised up. I did't vote at all in 2012 because there was no one on the ticket worth the trouble. Your lack of ability to debate or even just communicate without the anger and filthy name calling make it obvious why you not only haven't wised up but likely never will. Good luck with those scandals.

So... shirked your responsibility in 2012? Gotcha. How noble.

I suffer no fools... particularly self-righteous extremist hypocrites like yourself.

Scandals? This nation has weathered countless scandals in more than two centuries. Scandals bring down individuals, even administrations--but never our nation. America perseveres, and moves on.

Keep this in mind...

1) Whitewater investigation: More than four years elapsed between the day Ken Starr was appointed as special prosecutor, and the day he officially closed the investigation.

2) Watergate: More than two years elapsed between the actual break-in at the Watergate offices, and the evening that President Nixon resigned.

The IRS story broke less than a week ago. Benghazi is smoke and mirrors. AP phone digging? That deserves much more scrutiny.

I'll say this about the AP phone records controversy: Suppose the information that was leaked could potentially endanger some of our soldiers? Or even some of our foreign service officials, maybe one of our embassies, just like the one in Benghazi?

I GUARANTEE YOU THIS: If we were talking about the DOJ of 2007 or 2006, the same hypocrites that are now demanding Eric Holder's head on a silver platter would be CHEERING ON Alberto Gonzales, demanding that he imprison as many "lamestream media traitors" as he could. I guarnan-fucking-tee you.

Choke on that, "as stupid as a neocon"

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Virgo

You have energy to burn today and it needs positive outlets, otherwise you'll be rather ratty and impatient. You want to work on activities that will show you in a good light, and you'll be annoyed if anyone objects to what you're doing or points out where you're going wrong. If you've been nursing a secret passion for someone, the frustration will really get to you.
