you know... so many of you are extremly obliviouse to what actually goes on... the news is so corrupted and full of bs just like most of you so called "christians"... yall are so quick to judge someone by the mistakes they made but not by the good things they did... i WAS a close friend of austin's, we went to school together and played football together hunted, fished etc.... but it comes down to who you want to be around and what they do... you know there is a 14 year old girl putting her opinion on here and she hasnt experienced what a lick of real world is... there is so many things that i would love to tell some of you ignorant people on here... i hung out with austin up until he started hanging out with the wrong crowd so some of you are right in saying it was his fault... but where do you get off sayin that it is the parents fault that an 18 year old MAN need i mind you, that he made the wrong decisions... if you died tommorrow what would people say of you, they would do the same thing your doin pointing out the bad and not the good... let a good person who made a wrong decision not rest in your grief but in his piece... if there is something that you dont understand, e-mail me... xxcowboyjaredxx@yaHoo.com

and also you older people(40+) are pretty much obliviouse too and dont understand how things work now and what goes on... and NO i dont do drugs, never touched them, yes i do drink, but im a bad person and my parents did a bad job... no i pay my bills, i pay my truck note i have i steady job and i take 12 hours and i pay for those also.... so ask yourself this question...(what seperates this kid here who is 19 from a person who is 21 when he takes care of everything he needs to? and also ask yourself this right after asking your self the previous question... well if he does all that and it may or may not be ok for him to have a few beers, what did i do at that age? and apparently i know some of you where, for lack of a better term, outcasts!

Everyone just quit complaining. All of Austins real good friends including me knew what Austin was about, he was about getting messed up but at the same time taking care of things and spending good times with his friends. He was a good man that i will remember for the rest of my life. Austin didnt die for no reason, he died to show all of us what drugs and alcohol can do to you. This is a big lesson to learn. And to my reply above, this was nobodies fault, austin made his own desciscions just like we all make our own. R.I.P Austin D. Gone But Never Forgotten.

I love how All of you argue back and forth. It shows your age. Also stop judging people you dont know. There is alot yall do not know, Austin was an amazing person. I actually spoke to him the night he pasted away, I really wish one girl on here who claims she loves him, would have supported him in rehab and would have stopped being a pot head her self!
Im sorry to his family and the people who truly loved him and cared.

To some of you, inparticular "The Devils Advocate", don't open your mouth until you know the full story of Austin's life. You didnt know him, I did, I went to school with him and was very close to him. He was not just "[a waste of a human life]. Austin was a great guy and had a great heart. He lived a very very hard life yes and like I said, until you know the story of his life, you need to shut up about it all. There are people, still to this day, grieving the loss of a close friend, a brother, a son, and a boyfriend! Be freaking respectful of others. You made yourself sound like a huge jerk who can't respect anyone else...way to go.

I wish I would have found all this earlier but I avoided seeing too much that reminded me of Austin and that day. Some of you on here are completley and utterly ridiculous. You are judging a young man who you don't even know. I went to high school with Austin and had classes with him. I talked to him and encouraged him to talk to Lakan. I have many and multiple talks with him about random stuff. Austin had a wonderful heart and though had some struggles, tried to get through those with rehab!! Its just amazing to see how some of you are bashing a guy and his parents when his dad and step mom did the best they could raising him. Many kids parents get divorced these days and though it is hard, that doesnt mean the parents had ANYTHING to do with what happened that night. Only the group at the party was there that night and none of the rest of us got to see what went down. Finding out that Austin Durant died put me in shock, literally. It is one of the hardest things I have gone through. Many of you will NEVER understand until you lose someone you knew that was close to you. Austin may not physically be in our presence but he will NEVER be forgetten. He was NOT just a wasted life like I read in previous posts, he just had things a little tougher and a little less fortunate than the rest of us. And kids who haven't been through their first year of high school(Rebecca) cant say anything. Life only gets harder as you grow up and yes, many can keep their morals and beliefs strong as they go through college(I have) but that doesnt give you ANY right to judge what Austin went through. All of you who did down Austin and his family are all in my prayers as well as Austins friends and especially family and Lakan!! I think about Austin every single day and have his funeral card as a daily reminder. Lakan, I haven't gotten to talk to you since a couple days after the funeral but continue to stay strong sweetheart. I couldnt even begin to imagine being in your position but you will always have friends standing behind you to catch you when you fall!! I love you girl and hold your head as high as you can!! We love you Austin and miss you soooo much!! Can't wait to see you again!! Keep watching over us!
