Not sure why the sheriff would immediate contact native american's in the area...is this house on a reservation, was the house owned by native american's, were there other sacred burial grounds in the immediate area? The story is weak, it leaves me asking more questions than it answers.

They said the bones were "very old" so that would lead us to believe that it is possible they are old Indian bones. This happens at construction sites frequently in areas where Indians once lived. The sheriff did not contact "native american's" in the area.("native american's" what?) The sheriff said they might know the ethinic origin of the bones by Friday and if they're part of a native American skeleton, Indian tribes would be contacted. Did you not read the story?
