I was born and raised in Athens Ala I moved to N.Y. in 1961 I am appalled to here that the klan are becoming visible again. It just shows the racism is alive and well it usually happens more when times are bad.Now they are calling themselves the church of the klan they are playing with god as most white people do they pryed when they blew up the churh in Birmingham with the little girls attending sunday school.There is big difference now blacks will not take that crap anymore.Its all because obama might become the President.

It has nothing to do with Obama.Every few years they pass through and try to get locals stired up. We just ignore them around here and they disapear. I use to live in Chicago and the Nazi's always tried to do the same. I actualy seen more racism there than I do here. It has nothing to do with Obama. As far as racism being alive and well, if you look at history and even the Bible it has been here a long time and I do not think it will ever go away.

I was born and raised in LA (Lower Alabama) and now live in the Huntsville area. Like most folks, I pity the Klan members. They don't have anything going for them and so they dress up in sheets and funny hats and run around burning a cross here and there. Must be a boring life style, burn a cross here and there, wash you sheets (if they ever do) and burn another cross. Get a life Klan, the world has passed you by.

Well I do beleive they have lightened up alot. Especially since they are supposed to be racist. I was at Shonneys last year right after there hoopla in town. I was really doing some thinking when I actually saw with my own eyes, a KKK member going to the food bar where a black woman was making her plate. Yes he did step back and give her a nasty look but if he was truely racist he would not have eaten food off the same buffet. Am I wrong? Seems he may have slipped up some. I do cherrish the go to hell look the woman gave back to him.
